I've just listened the bonus cd off the new album and I am very surprised: most of alternate productions and outtakes are so much better that tracks that appear on the final tracklist!!!
If I could choose the final tracklist, this would be my election:
1- Bag it up 3/5
2- The Shock of the lightning 4/5
3- The Turning (The Jagz Kooner remix) 4/5
4- I'm Outta Time 4/5
5- I Believe In All 3/5
6- Lord Dont Slow Me Down 3/5
7- I Wanna Live In A Dream (Record Machine) 5/5
8- Falling Down 3,5/5
9- Ain't Got Nothing 2/5
10- To Be Where There’s Life (A Richard Fearless Production) 3/5
11- Stop The Clocks 3,5/5
Bonus #1- The Turning (Alternate Version #4) 4/5
Bonus #2- The Boy With The Blues 2,5/5
Final calification: 3,5/5 (which is quite good)

all but the falling down remix are awful. Agreed. The alternate versions sounds like demos, considering the bonus disc the album is as good as it could... oh, and remix sucks |

love your spirit on this thread and oasis are a band of the people and its fun to make your own versions of the album ,,, how many other bands do you do that with ,, im fans of hundreds of different bands but i only do this with oasis

the falling down remix is good. i love how chemical brothers didnt make it sound like useless or corny shit.. they added a nice electronic bit that's refreshing and then completely remixed the song while retaining it's general vibe. it's excellent.
and i believe in all and the boy with the blues are nice tunes..

Nice to have them as a bonus. Unfortunately, in this case, they were uniformly poor (except for Falling Down). |
