The thing about Cobain - he was already massively popular when he died so I would imagine he would end up by the law of diminishing returns writing more and more shit music over the years but nobody would care because people are pretty blind when looking at their 'gods'
dave would have quit at some point if kurt lived, he wanted a band of his own too much - i think his departure would also be part of the reason why kurt's songwriting would have gone downhill had he lived longer
also there the courtney factor to think about if kurt had lived....it definitely would have affected his music for the worst

What are you all talking about, if there were no foo fighters right now there would be no one around making real rock n' roll. The Foo Fighters are the only band that to what was good about rock in the 90's and carried over.
