a friend of mine that has heard all the oasis albums and seen them in concert about 5 times all b/c of me, not really a big fan of them but likes the music they make.

his response was that he almost turned the album off towards the end waiting for the rapture, didn't care for the first 3 songs at all (which is what i was saying from the get go old boring sound), he loved the sound starting with the shock.... he amazingly said his fav tracks were 4,5,7 which as we all know are the singles for the album. i found that interesting.

well I have to say if they don't like track 1 and 2 they have horrible taste in music. Bag it up and The Turning are the two best songs on the cd and light years ahead of tsotl....Seriously chalk him up as just having horrible taste..Although I do agree the last 3-4 songs are the weakest ....

My one friend who isn't that big an Oasis fan either (i.e no knowledge of albums and that, just singles) loves Shock of the Lightning. It was a nice change for someone other than me to talk about Oasis so well

lol. Well I guess that's it then. 1-3 are poor tracks and the only decent ones are 4,5, and 7. Thanks to your 'non-biased' friend, now we have a real review around here.

If all of us played the album to a 'non-biased' friend then we'd all have different reviews. And hearing that this album is somewhat different, letting someone listen to it one time doesn't do it justice at all. Hell, letting anyone listen to any album just one time doesn't do it justice and usually the 'singles' will be the ones that you remember.

Your post is just annoying because you act like your 'non-biased' friend's opinion is all the proof in the world that the first 3 tracks weren't that good. And you act like your opinion is fact.
