Can this record hold us off for another 3 long years.
I think I has the potential because its more about the flowing groove.

idk, i cant really see myself listening to it all the time a year from now
for me, it depends on how good the bsides are. A few ace bsides will definately help hold me off til the next record, which i think will be released in early 2011 prolly.

DOYS blows DBTT out of the water
The difference between these 2 albums to me are that DBTT had to many "OK" songs on it, not enough stand out tracks, and not heavy enough for alot of Oasis fans
DOYS has it all, its got the standout tracks it needs to stay fresh for us Oasis fans for years.

hopefully the next record we won't have to wait as long (though i doubt it) i mean the album was done in like April and it took another 6 months to get all the other shit sorted out. Hopefully after they are done recording the next one we won't have to wait another 6 months or something.

i've only been a fan since DBTT. i remember walking out the best buy with it. i dunno but i remember buying that CD. i can't imagine being a fan after like HC came out. depressing.

Heathen Chemistry wasnt a bad album. Its just not the best Oasis album. HC spawned some extremly good singles (Stop Crying Your Heart Out, Little By Little,Songbird,The Hindu Times)....Heathen Chemistry just doesnt have good "deep album tracks", but the singles are fantastic. SCYHO got me really into Oasis so HC was an important album to me.........but its prob my least favorite haha, because its missing the good deep album tracks |

I can see the average Oasis fan being happier after HC then SotSoG. As much as everyone here loves the album, it's pretty much considered the worst. But really, DOYS reminded me why I love Oasis so much. |

I recall an interview with Noel where he said this album could have been out in mid-summer, but the band booked off time for Euro 2008. Of course we all what happened there, and Noel regretted doing so.

Meh, This album is an October sounding album, better released in the fall than the summer IMO

This album really does it for me, but it cant hold off my need for new oasis songs all the time, Though i think i could quite happily listen to waiting for the rapture for another year non stop, the back half of that song is the best thing oasis have done in a loooong time

It will keep me happy a long time. I really hope also we get some decent b-sides which will also help, the bonus tracks will also be good in the big box set.
As each album comes out it also makes me appreciate some of their past work more. Eg SOTSOG i really think is very underated. Enjoy listening to more and more b sides which i dont always listen to as much
