This thread is dedicated to the (potential) meanings behind the songs of DOYS. ;]
I guess i'll start off with I'm Outta time,
lyrics:
Heres a song it reminds me of when we were young looking back at all the things we've done
you've gotta keep on keepin' on
out to see it's the only place i am asleep
can give myself some piece of mind you know it's getting hard to fly
if i'm to fall would you be there to applaud? or would you hide behind them all?
because if i am to go in my arms you'd grow and that's where you belong
(solo)
if i'm to fall would you be there to applaud? or would you hide behind them all?
because if i am to go in my arms you'd grow and that's where you belong
x2
guess i'm outta time i'm outta time i'm outta time i'm outta time i'm outta time
To me this sounds like either a sad love song ('because if i am to go, in my arms you'd grow. and that's where you belong) and it seems he's 'out of time' to do anything about it.. or.. it could be about Noel.
'' Heres a song it reminds me of when we were young looking back at all the things we've done''
'' if i'm to fall would you be there to applaud? or would you hide behind them all?''

"out to see it's the only place i am asleep
can give myself some piece of mind"
Should be : "out to sea, it's the only place i honestly can give myself some piece of mind..."
and "because if i am to go in my arms you'd grow and that's where you belong"
should be:
"...in my heart you'd grow..."

Bag It Up is about bagging it up. The Turning is about the turning. Waiting for the Rapture is about waiting. TSOTL is about Noel being scared of lightning (the shock of lightning/it's very frighting!) I'm Outta Time is about being out of time. (GOY)HHL is about horses. Falling Down is about falling down. TBWTL is about being, mannnn. Ain't Got Nothing is about being a hobo. The Nature of Reality is about mining. Soldier On is about soldering on.
I'm a deep man.

Im Outta Time and Falling Down are about Noel and Daniel Sullivan, they wrote them before the fact... that shows that they are almighty
Falling Down... do i need to say more about it? Noel is falling down on the monitor
And Im Outta Time... "If i'm to fall would you be there to applaude or would you hide behin em all?"
Smooth guys, there you go.
The Turning was about Noel and his driving licence: he never got one, and he's havin trouble makin a U-Turn "What hope for the turning If everything you know is wrong?" bad luck at the exams...
The Shock Of The Ligthning is about a Lightning that hit his house and didnt allowd him to watch the match Man City - Man Utd, so he had to went to the Pub even if he had to be home with her girl "Outta Control But I'm tied up tight - Come In Come Out Tonite"

The Turning is about when Noel was driving drunk and he saw a DUI checkpoint ahead, so he stoped and turned around. This was a magical moment in Noels life and decided to write a song about avoiding the DUI Checkpoint, and called it The Turning

Bag It Up = Encouragement to Wear Condoms. Liam goes on about it in LDSMD "always wear four condoms... one on your head three on your cock".
I got my "heebie-geebies" must be his dick and balls (possibly Nicole or Sara's pet name for the Gallaghers genitals I'd wager) as you can't be too careful these days.
