Am I the only one that like this song.
Really like the verse and chorus and the 'soldier on' mantra and the harmonica is addictive.
Definitely one of the 5 best songs on the album in my opinion.
soldier on soldier on soldier on soldier on soldier on soldier on solidier on soldier on soldier on.

id put it at no. 5 or no. 6 as of right now
The two biggest surprises for me are that people seem to hate Soldier On, but seem to love Waiting for the Rapture, which I consider to be the 2nd worst track on the album...

Well, let me explain. Soldier On has a couple of lines of lyrics (the chorus is just Ah ah ah) and goes NOWHERE. Waiting For The Rapture is fun, has good lyrics, and has a nice concise structure.
Soldier On could have been wicked if Liam did more with the melody, wrote more words, and just generally fleshed it out more.

I think it could've been better, but someone else said the point of the song is to sound like a march and just keep going and it does that nicely. I like it more each time i hear it. The vocal melody is fantastic and I really like the ending.
I've taken I'm Outta Time and Ain't Got Nothin off my playlist and it's a fucking delight to put this thing on repeat.

I really like it. Soldier On seemed a bit slight at first to me, but it's a really nice way to round the album off and it's not really like any other Oasis tune I can think of. The way it ends is very good.

It's really good. I like it's subtlety, definitely one of the best on the album.

Third. Exactly my experience with the song.
For the last few days I've been catching myself humming the outro at times.

while not the best song ever written, Soldier on is very catchy and hypnotizing, and yes, it is probably a weak song comparing it to the rest of the album, at least in terms of musicianship and substance, the lyrics don't say much, but for some reason i just wanna soldier on

There is nothing boring about it, its awesome, the whole beat and feel and sounds are brilliant....its a stoned classic imo....if it was the Sone roses or Ian Brown it would be chalked up as one of the best

I just got back from vacation but apparently the album has leaked. I was afraid that SO and IOT would turn out to be disappointments, but I guess I'll wait to hear them and judge for myself. Anyways, you think DOYS is the third best album? Or still too early to decide?

Its a definite grower,I though it was pretty avg to start off with but i like it more and more,it just lacks a decent chorus and the 2nd half of the song plods along

Soldier On must be the definition of a grower. It is my favesong at the moment. I can put it on repeat and simply dream away. Thank god they find that lost recording.
