Anyone else think so? Especially the parts in between the verse and chorus (Noel's McCartney-esque "whoooo's" and the "cha" noise he makes during the guitar solo's.)

Maybe it's a subconscious thing, but those are well-known McCartneyisms.

spot on right there--- imo there has never been a more blatent ripoff in any rock song ever.
