the quote is actually from an interview from the 6th of december, 1980, 2 days before he was shot. i have the full interview as mp3. there's another interview from the 8th (the day he died).

I tnk the song is more like SCYHO than anything else, but imo this song is better and more heartfelt lennon's last quote only adds to this. you can tell liams true love for lennon I second that, I get a SCYHO vibe from Im Outta Time

Does it Work or not? I personally was dreading it when I first read it was there but it just kind of comes and goes, buried within the mix and I think it works quite well. I was worried but I think it works very good. Ads a modern touch to the album although the clip is 50 years old?

Lennon ran outta time after that interview. He never got back. Its brilliant. Exactly mate. It's Genius. Thats the first thing I thought when I heard it! The quote is basically Lennon claiming that he can live wherever he likes and that his homeland will still be there when he gets back. He was shot days later and never got back to his homeland hence running outta time. It's a great song and great sentiment. Lennon is a Legend.

i have it but the interview is over an hour long. here's the entire video as a series of videos i managed to find on youtube: www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=D62540104D4299B3. the quote from "i'm outta time" is toward the end of the second video if that's the part you're looking for. i've also got a three-and-a-half-hour long interview he did for rolling stone in 1971 if anyone wants that? that ones amazing because he was still really bitter toward mccartney and most of his former friends at that point, including mick jagger and bob dylan. even elvis if i recall correctly. some good stuff.

Putting the Lennon Quote in was kind pointless cause you can barely even hear it Keep in mind your hearing the Leak version of this whole album. Once you get the CD everything is gonna sound better and clearer.

Um....not really....I'll bet the fidelity on the leak (even the low-volume one) is exactly the same as you'll get when you rip your manufactured cd onto your itunes in 2 weeks time....

That is quite fucking witty of Liam there, damn smart of him. I didn't get that at first but it makes a lot more sense now lol.
