I heard the whole album twice and everything you’re probably just read in de review from STC is right. This is the first time Oasis really does something different. This is the one album that doesn’t sound like any other album. This is the album that will make music snobs/critics finally go praise Oasis. This is also the album that will divide/disappoint some old skool fans. Everything that has been said is true: no big choruses, no pub rock, no ballads, no Kermit, no cheesy stadium glam rock.
The album is full of interesting sounds and styles. - There are some White Stripes-heavy guitar/drum-riff’s (The Nature Of Reality reminded me of Ball & Bisquit by the Stripes, the guitar/drum combi that is) - There are very dark tunes (Bag It Up, love that one, has two choruses, both subtile and brilliantly sung, ‘someone tell me I;m dreaming, the freaks are rising off the floor, everything I believe in, is telling me that I want more, more MORE’, reminded me a bit of Mucky Fingers with actual chorus and Liam’s voice, and also a Scorpio Rising feel to it) - There are dirty badd ass choruses & melody’s (‘So come on, shake your reptile baby’ from The Turning is mean, so is most of Noel’s singing on Waiting for The Rapture) - There is lots of real psychedelica, not the vague wannabe stuff like Keep The Dream Alive (Soldier On for instance, wasn’t too impressed with it melody-wise, but the feel of it could have just been on Revolver, sung by Lennon) - There is great grooves to clap/move your head along too (again: The Nature Of reality with the brilliant guitar/drum beat, and of course To Be Where There’s Life, which is fuckin amazing, just that bass line we heard from the live version combined with drums and clean vocals, brilliant and addictive, or High Horse Lady, with noel singing the title of the song over a ‘I’m gonna find my baby’/Moby-melody, but then all of a sudden a huge drum kicks in) - And then there’s it I’m Outta Time. The best song Liam ever wrote. Still stimple, two verses followed by two chorus and an ‘I’m Outta Time’ outro. But that chorus, man, shivers down the spine. ‘Iííif (in falsetto) I'm to fall, would you be there to applaud, or would you hide behind them all/a wall’. Amazing stuff.
So yeah, we got ourselves a true masterpiece. But I’m still convinced that some fans aren’t gonna like it.
I love it. Oasis has finally grown up.
On populair demand:
Bag It Up - 9,5/10 The Turning - 9/10 Waiting for the Rapture - 8,5/10 Shock of The Lightning - 8/10 I'm Outta Time 10/10 (Get Off Your) High Horse Lady) 8/10 Falling Down 7/10 To Be Where There's Life 9/10 Ain't Got Nothing 6/10 The Nature Of Reality 8,5/10 Soldier On 7,5/10

Okay, considering that you have listened to it, and I'm approaching articles like this with caution, is it their most diverse album since Standing on the Shoulder of Giants? I love that album, except the shitty Put Yer Money Where Yer Mouth Is and I Can See A Liar.
Also, I'm not caring if it's not got big singalongs on it, because the last album they tried to do that was Heathen Chemistry, my least favourite Oasis album (to be fair, I think Stop Crying... ,Little by Little and the Hindu Times are some of my favourite all time Oasis tunes)
Also, where would you rate it in terms of Oasis albums? Third best , fourth best, etc..?

Yes, to be fair to DutchGallagher, he's been on this website for 5 years now, and I've looked up some of his posts and he doesn't seem to be a wind-up merchant. So this is sort of encouraging because it does seem convincing.

So this is sort of encouraging because it does seem convincing. He posted a review of DBTT three years ago in the soapbox several weeks before it was leaked. Nobody believed him when he posted it, but it proved to be true when it was leaked. I believe the guy.

Looks legit. Even if it wasnt, these'd be a fake review thats fun to read. Not the 'i heard the album, some will love it some will hate it' shit thats been going around for ages and ages and i never wanted anything from you. And now you're retired. I cant have you! It's funny how it switches like that. But now the forbidden fruit must be tasted.

All you did is get all the information thats already been said and put it toghter. All the lyrics you posted are the exact ones that have already been posted in magazines. Nothing new and you ain't heard it.

I wanna believe you but... where's your proof? where did you hear it?
you've been a member for 5 years and made only 38 posts? and now you come back to post this.... that doesn't make you exactly reliable like one of the guys said above....
anyway, the album will be out soon, I guess well find out then

You bunch of mongs, he has so few posts cos he is always on the soapbox.
And yes he's genuine, he was the 1st person to give a detailed review of DBTT 3 years ago, and it was several weeks before any of the leaks.

He's not a god in the soapbox, we just know that he has access to the albums early as he proved to us all 3 years ago.

The FACTS are that he is a journalist who heard DBTT a couple of weeks before anybody else and posted with a detailed review. Wouldn't it be reasonable to assume that he's being honest? What kind of proof do you require?

DutchGallagher's legit. He posted some short covers of Don't Believe the Truth songs on the oa515.com forum weeks before they were leaked. Could we get some more this time around, Dutch?

Duchy reviewed and recorded some covers of DBTT well before anyone had heard it or it leaked... He is a soapbox regular and posted his thoughts on DOYS a few days ago on the soapy...its funny how much goes on on the soapy that you mongos miss out on.
