Everyone band borrows these days. It's just that Oasis do it better than everyone else because their songs are better than the ones they've been influenced by. you don't really think they are better than the beatles do you?

the beatles oasis argument can never be had,to me oasis have released overall better songs than the beatles, you put the 20 best beatles songs up an 20 of oasis, for me oasis wins hands down.its what the beatles did for popular music that makes them the greatest of all time.although oasis did alot for that themselves aswell

not only did the beatles have the better songs but without them some oasis songs would be very different to the way they are. I'm well aware of The Beatles' influence on Oasis, but it's unfair to use chronology as a basis for your argument. It's hardly impossible for a band to outdo its predecessors.

when a band steals part of a song than the band that came up with it is the better band. Nah, if that were the case then we'd all be comparing Oasis to The New Seekers.

Get off Your High Horse Lady's intro reminded me of Genesis "That's All"
Highly doubt it's intentional, but it jumped out at me for some reason

On TSOTL that driving guitar part after the verses and after the hook are a straight rip off of this strokes riff from The Way It Is. I doubt Oasis have heard this song before

Point 1, 2 & 3 are full of bullshit.... Anyway, please, could we stop talking about THE BEATLES and Oasis being in the same league? The Beatles are the first step on the moon... Oasis are a supersonic transatlantic flight...

I doubt Oasis have heard this song before Erm, I'd say it's a distinct possibility given that Noel tried to sign The Strokes to Sour Mash about seven or eight years ago.

Stolen (or just very lazy) lyrics:
It's Getting Better Man: It's callin' out beyond the grave/and all the fire in the sky
(Get Off Your) High Horse Lady: I hear your soul song singin'/from a fire in the sky
I Believe In All: I can see for miles/ I can see you and your crimes /there's a fire in the sky
Part of the 'religious armageddon' nonsense theme or just idle-ness in writing the words?

i have not listened to the album yet. i want the best recording quality and it is on the official release.
as i read here, i have to say that i hate the way when Liam wants to sound like Lennon. I mean thats allright that he like him that he is THE inspiration, but he should stay himself and sing like Liam G. and Lennon. I really hope he doesn't like that on the new album.

Doesn't Flashbax have "Fire in the sky" as a lyric too? i've not heard it for a while...
Some of the guitar in high horse ladt reminds me of Old Man by Neil Young.
