I posted something similar in the Rate Album thread, but I think High Horse Lady deserves it's own thread...cause it's a unique, innovative tune.

High Horse Lady - Absolutely Top. One of Noel's most innovative songs to date. Like the "Western" twang and beat it incorporates. Much better than FON. Those critics who say Oasis songs "sound the same" are put to bed with this tune.

HOWEVER!

Although Noel's vocal effects adds to the character of the song, doesn't it sound like he's singing out of a small antique microphone and speaker set?

I know Sardy/Noel intentionally engineered his vocal track this way, but I think it detracts from the song a bit. If anything, use the voice effect for the first 1/3 of the song and then have Noel belt out those clear, crisp verses he's known for in an un-modulated voice for the choruses, etc.

Noel has a much stronger un-modulated voice than Liam does, and I think this song would be slightly better without so much production on Noel's voice. Ex. Noel on TIOBI or WDIAGW.

Also, what's with the seagulls at the end? I understand the footsteps in gravel, but there are no seagulls in a Western!
