Well...I am very happy. This is a rich record. Great Oasis mammoth songs in the first half...and songs that really are different in the second half. Some are less obvious...like Nature of reality. But I think - after 2 listens, so this may change - the non-anthem songs are far richer then on the last few records. There are songs here that sound nothing like previous Oasis. Nature of reality sounds like Fade in Out...and I always liked that song because it was a departure. Good on you oasis for not trying to be DM or WTSMG...way better then DBTT - which I never really loved. Now that is my personal opinion, but I thought DBTT was flat. This record is so well produced it s fantastic.

I thinks this album follow a complete different direction from all others I find it very hard to compare it wth first three.... by I definitely believe it's better than the last three... and I'm loving that there are GUITAR SOLOS!!! If I had to make a review:
Bag It Up: really different than all others album openers, and it's perfect to present you the new groove. 8.5/10
The Turning: Fuckin' fantastic all the way through. Beautiful verses and the most rock'n'roll chorus Noel's done for the last years. 9.0/10
Waiting For The Rapture: On the last two albuns Noel had a rock song with a different beat (FON and MF). but this time he definitely goes somewhere. With heavy drums and guitar that instantly reminds of White Stripes he sing through falsettos and great rock lines. 7.5/10
The Shock Of The Lightening: we all know it, but this is as Oasis as ever. 8.0/10
I'm Outta Time: simply beautiful... Liam's vocals are absolutely mind blowing here... the verses are amazing though the chorus is too much of SCYHO... Songbird finally got some real competition.. 8.5/10
Get Off Your High Horse Lady: weird vocals. cool melody. when the drums kick in is pretty cool... it gives a cool vibe to the album, but it's not a top tune for itself... 6.5/10
Falling Down: Again, we've all heard it... but it's fuckin' awesome 9.0/10
To be Where There's Life: again, Liam vocals are the top from this tune. and the bass sounds great. Best Gem's so far. 7,5/10
Ain't Got Nothing: I wouldn't say it's a bad song. definitely better than MOS. but still, nothing more. 6.0/10
The Nature Of Reality: I actually like the drums and the guitar for the fact that is much different from everything I ever saw Oasis do. not a top tune, but also good. 7.0/10
Soldier On: weird. it fits as a closer but still, I think here should be the epic Oasis song. I particulary miss a chorus in this tune, but the final is actually interesting and the voice effects are also cool. 6.5/10
I always consider songs like Live Forever, CS, Slide Away and Masterplan as songs worth of a 10/10 that's why my higher grade was 9.0
anyway i'm fuckin loving this album

1. WTSMG - 5 2. DOYS - 4.75 3. DM - 4.5 4. DBTT - 4.25 5. BHN - 4 6. HC - 3.5 7. SOTSOG - 3
The weak tracks on Definately Maybe drag down the brilliant tracks leaving it second to Dig Out Your Soul. DOYS's brilliant tracks are not quite as brilliant as those of DM, but there are more of them. The weaker tracks on DOYS are better than the weak tracks on DM and there are fewer weak tracks on DOYS than on DM.
What's The Story Morning Glory had no weak tracks in my opinion.

Digsy's Dinner & Shakermaker match the "weak tracks" of DM (married with children is nothing spectacular either) but the eight other tracks shadow any of MG's accomplishments.
