I'm still in shock... today was like fucken Christmas man... got up, logged on... checked the news...
DIG YOUR SOUL LEAKED the night before...or earlier whatever... but i DL it...
i love it... heard it all day... Noel is out of his fucken mind... when he says... no singles? seriously... i might need more listens but...
rapture, outta time, the shock, falling down, hell even high horse... are all instant, i found my self stomping to rapture and high horse immediately! bag it up and turning are very good... took me a few listens. to be where there's life is awesome... that's some head bobbing "chillax'n" music right there man! ain't got nothing is fast, heavy, not too bad... i don't hate it like many others do... nature of reality is pretty tight... love the guitar in it, not bad, not bad at all... and soldier on is another good track... what's up with Liam now a days? he writes better mid tempos and ballads now, any who, i love it... i wish, outta time was the closer and it could have been a little longer... love the outro with "I'm outta time... I'm outta time" wow!
4.5/5 very strong album, no fillers imo...better than DBTT-4/5 and HC- 3.5/5
i wonder if they are going to release the album early now... i have it pre-ordered on iTunes to get the bonus track and then we still have the deluxe box too... /faint

The overall quality is high. It sounds much more modern than DBTT. Obvious better than HC and DBTT. At the moment I rate it as number 4 of the oasisalbums. Sardy makes a much better job here than on DBTT.

Overall, a very very solid album, Maybe better than BHN making it the best Oasis album since Morning Glory. Only mistake, the last 3 songs on the album are the 3 worst, the first half is amazing, second half isnt bad, but they should have broken up NOR and AGN

Very catchy.In my opinion this should been the third single.
Waiting for the repture 7/10
Nice tune with a dark atmosphere.
The shock of the lightning 7/10
Perfect single.The only real brit pop song on the album.very catchy
I'm outta time 8/10
Nice ballad.Not as good as SCYHO or DLBIA but still very good.
High horse lady 4/10
Diffrent from all the other Oasis stuff but quite boring.
Falling Down 8/10
Once again a dark song.Best Noel song on the record.

To me just a very boring song.Complete filler.

Very aggressive Liam tune.Dunno why people don't like it.It's pure rock'n'roll!!!
The Nature Of Reality 2/10
Once again a completly boring filler.I can't find a chorus in that song.I just sounds like verse-break-verse-break-verse and the last half minute is just some guitar noise.waste of time.
Soldier On 6/10
I like it.It's not as good as the first tracks but a chilling album closer.
Overall i think its an album good album.It has the same problem as Heathen Chemistry.First half is good but the second is quite boring. 6/10

I've just listened to the whole album
I've enjoyed all of the oasis albums but prefer listening to Be Here Now
This album is fantastic
Bag It Up 9/10 - Liam sounds amazing - wow what an opener
The Turning 10/10 - Got to be a single - Liam sounds amazing - a mature rocker will be great live. Everything about this song is fantastic - verse, chorus, solo, ending ... genius
Waiting for the Rapture 9/10 - Stomping dark song - Mucky fingers is nothing compared to this - it sounds like a mix of blur/Sir Paul - endings great
The Shock of the lightning 10/10 - love it - the best single for ages
I'm Outta time 9/10 - Guitar sounds fantastic - as everyones said its a grown up little james "out to sea" lyrics included
High Horse Lady 9/10 - Like Fade In-Out part two but completely different - I love it - only complaint is the gravel sounds at the end go on for to long
Falling Down 10/10 - Noels best song since DLBIA - love the james bonds style breakdown and end chorus
To Be where theres life 7/10 - Ok - not great - great bass but sounds empty compared to the rest - possibly a grower
Ain't got nothing 8/10 - lyrics are poor but really really catchy - Noels backing vocal are great
The Nature of Reality 9/10 - Great lyrics and guitar but not too sure about liams vocals in parts - I'm not keen on the drawn out "truth" and "mind" - sounds very DBTT vocal wise
Soldier on 6/10 - Brave effort at a new sound - not to keen on it though - a very basic sounding song
I'd say the up until Falling Down is better but the last few songs aren't bad - overall its a great sounding album and apart from Nature of Reality Liam sounds fantastic. I think all the background sounds are great and love the way the songs blend together
One thing i've got to say - If the press don't like this album they will never get oasis again and I won't read another oasis press review

alliwantisthetruth, Up until TBWTL you gave every song a 9 or 10 out of 10....then after that we see only 3 songs less than a 9/10...and you still say BHN is better?

I think be here now is great - it may be long but it is what it is a massive,cocky album that shouldn't have got slated
Theres nothing better than listening to all of those songs loud whilst driving in a car - brilliant

sorry i aint actually answered your question...for me BHN has lasted for years being overplayed and still sounds fresh ....
I can't comment if DOYS will be the same as this but at the moment, now after a second listen, it sounds amazing

D'yer know what?? I'm thinking this is fast becoming my favourite oasis album
Up until (and including) falling down the album is pretty much perfect. The only bit I would change would be to make the end of GOYHHL shorter.
After that TBWTL has grown on me and the bass is great turned up loud - its a good song but i feel it trys to take you somewhere it doesn't quite reach
Ain't got nothing - apart from the lyrics is great. The guitars are rocking, vocals spot on its just the lyrics that let it down
The nature of reality - The biggest grower on the album and sounds amazing loud. It sounds like a raw live recording. I ain't too keen on Liams vocals in places but it a good solid album track
Soldier on - I'm still not getting this song yet - I've given up and just keep skipping it
So overall the end tracks ain't bad either in my opinion - with the exception of soldier on I like all the songs
This album makes me want to sing along, play the drums on my steering wheel, play air guitar, punch my fist in the air and do liam impressions whilst listening to each song turned up full blast on my PC/stereo like I did when I first heard songs like Rock n roll star, some might say and My big mouth. All the albums since Be here now have had their highs and lows and they have got a few punch your hand in air/waving cig lighter moments but nothing like this album
I'm mad for it all over again - its like being ten years younger - If this album doesn't win over the critics nothing will

Yeah i know mate, it is an awesome album IMO. The only songs i don't really like are Soldier On and Get Off Your High Horse.
To Be Where There's life is so underrated IMO also.

But face it. In the end it's pretty rubbish. All the songs sound flat and rather uninspired. Not at all working class as Noel still believe they are. I used to get goose bumps while listening to oasis and sing my heart out. None of that is left. Sure, they are free to try somewhat different but they've failed. Especially Noel, who's a great guy and very talented but because of that very very lazy.
Still respect Liam though, because he's the only one left with the real oasis spirit. Plus he's working his ass off to get his voice in shape. He still makes me want to go to oasis and sing out loud.
Is somebody feeling the same?

I like the Beatles esq influence and the mad "outro's" There is an eliment of laziness on the recording I think and no consistancey in Liams voice. Otherwise, I'm Mad For It!
