DM MG -- BHN DOYS (perhaps above BHN even, we'll see) DBTT -- SOTSOG HC This is Oasis third era, if you will 1994-1999: Glory Years, Brit Pop, Biggest Band in the World --> DM, MG, BHN 2000-2004: Uninspired, somewhat lazy, instability (band changes, stopping drugs, married/divorced etc) --> SOTSOG, HC 2005-Present: Ressurgence, matured, focused, passionate, "back in the fire" --> DBTT, DOYS ----- DBTT was a real turning point. If that album was utter shit, it would have been the nail in the coffin, but the media liked it so Oasis lives on! im just saying that i 100% agree with you, my list of favorite Oasis CDs is exactly the same and i also think that this new album has the possibility of surpassing Be here Now on my list, just gotta hear the songs in full

Wonderwall Don't Look Back In Anger Some Might Say Cast No Shadow Morning Glory Champagne Supernova Think before you speak, folks. Thank you. MG is my favorite, though it is the most popular. Its my favorite album from them. Include those classics with the stomping Hello and the poppy roll with it, the comical She's Electric and the under rated hey now! You can't beat it. DM is not far behind for me though, MG just edges it out.

As long as we're all agreed that HC is by far their worst album.

As long as we're all agreed that HC is by far their worst album. And yet not without its merits.

Not most played Oasis song, but most played song out of all 3000 songs I have on there. Never realized I liked it that much. My list: 1. MG 2. DM 3. BHN 4. DBTT (I hope/think DOYS will take this spot when I hear the whole thing) 5. SOTSG 6. HC Any album that has Cast No Shadow almost automatically has to be my fav album.

If you only count the album tracks... itd have to go 1. Be Here Now 2. Definitely Maybe 3. Whats the Story Morning Glory 4. Don't Believe the Truth/Standing on the Shoulder of Giants (Like em each about exactly the same Id say) 6. Heathen Chemistry
However, if you included the bsides in addition to the studio tracks... itd be 1. What's the Story Morning Glory 2. Be Here Now 3. Definitely Maybe 4. Standing on the Shoulder of Giants (very slight edge over DBTT) 5. Dont Believe the Truth 6. Heathen Chemistry
From what Ive heard, DOYS has a pretty good shot at reaching the top 3 as far as the studio albums go. If they release a few good/decent bsides to go with it... then I'd say itd definitely be up there as one of their best albums.

Not the reason why Mg is my favorite album of all time but it helps it out nonetheless. Glad to see some other MG lovers and yes I believe that HC is easily their worst.

I think we should wait til we hear the full album before making any bold predictions.
However this one actually does seem promising. For me it could only possibly go as high as number 4 because I doubt I would like it more than any of the first three.

Heathen Chemistry's a funny one - some great singles, some shitty album tracks.
My list:
DM MG SOTSOG BHN = HC, DBTT

WTSMG doesnt feauture one track that I will skip over. People slag on Hey Now, but I think Hey Now is a great tune, and if its a filler, its a damn good one.

Although Heathen Chemistry is probably their worst album, it does have it's moments - Stop Crying Your Heart Out and Little By Little were the Oasis tunes that got my attention when I was 11 years old.
ALso, saying that, Morning Glory is my favourite. I know it's really mainstream, but if it weren't for that album, I probably wouldn't be a member of this forum.

Heathen Chemistry isnt THAT bad of an album. The singles off HC are amazing, but the deep album tracks just dont do the trick, they aint THAT good

1. WTSMG 2. BHN 3. DM 4. SOTSOG 5. DBTT 6. HC
I think DOYS could fit in anywhere from 1st to 5th for me. Won't know until I have the album and a few months pass.

The last 3 albums have all had standouts and they've all had poor filler. The way the band are promoting DOYS i think they are alot more confident in it musically.
Hope it's up there with BHN but if not we KNOW the tour will be MEGA!!

1. DM 2. WTSMG 3. DBTT 4. SOTSOG 5. BHN 6. HC
i put BHN and HC as the last two because they are the least creative song-writing wise....
and sometimes i put SOTSOG over DBTT after comparing RIO to KTDA
i've listened to the 40 second clips, and they are all stuck in my head! i think this one really could fall above DBTT at number 3 because right now it sounds more consistent

1. WTSMG 2. DM 3. BHN 4. SOTSOG 5. HC 6. DBTT
After listening to the clips, i cant really pick out a poor song (ofcourse could change my mind once hearing the album in full) where as HC and DBTT both have songs which i have to skip over (she is love + the meaning of soul spring to mind).
Im thinking DOYS will be level with BHN
