I don't know what Liam was doing. In the first picture it looks like he just pulled away from the mic and didn't know what was really going on. Yeah Liam did back off when he came to him but I'm guessing he was in shock and didn't notice what happened to Noel. Till he saw him all the ground. By then the guarding were taking care of the guy. I don't blame Canada or any of the fans. Its just one crazy fucker trying to ruin everyones night. Security needed to be lot better. How the hell does that happen? He came from be hide. I hope Noel isn't hurt and we're lucky this guy didn't have a weapon. I have no doubt that some psycho would bring a knife or something a hurt a musician at one of this large festivals or even a concert. Call me paranoid but people wonder why this stuff happens its cos of weak security (yes its rare that an attack could happen but still).

First of all, that guy looks way younger than 47. Secondly, when I watched the video, Liam didn't look like he did much of anything. He had a good chance to clock him and he didn't. He just kind of jogged backstage after him. If I saw my brother get pushed down and then saw a guy coming after me, I'd clock the shit out of him . . . Agree completely, I think its funny how everyone has this image of Liam pounding him when in reality he just lunged at him like a 12 year old girl. It wasn't until there were people around to detain Liam when he made it look like he wanted after the guy. A typical example of someone wanting to APPEAR like they wanted a fight. Liam was doing nothing. In fact, I'd say he looked like a total puss and dumber than the f*ck head himself. Exactly. People like thebishop will take up for Liam no matter what he does. But Liam took a pussy swing and it didn't look like he cared much to take up for Noel. Then he ran backstage looking tough but he probably didn't do much of anything. |

i think Liam had beaten that guy backstage...as security did..i'm sure he couldnt get away without getting some punches backstage....
but what if that guy had a knife...he came from behind..Noel had absolutely NO chance...
remember Monica Seles, a tennis player who got stabbed during a match on a court!!!!

Liam bottled it. The dude pushed noel then ran over towards Liam and then liam jumped out of the way and stood there till the security guards had a hold to the dude and where dragging him away and then Liam went over acting tough when there was no chance of anything happening.

Before seeing Noel he probably pulled back thinking it may just be an idiot fan trying to dance around on stage.
I think Liam's an idiot most of the time, but in this case I can see why he didn't just haul off and smash the guy.

Pickering man, 47, charged in Oasis assault

Police have charged a 47-year-old Pickering man with assault after he allegedly attacked Noel Gallagher on stage, sending the Oasis band leader to the hospital.
Daniel Sullivan appeared briefly in court this morning. He was remanded until Oct. 24.
Oasis headlined last night’s Virgin Festival at Toronto Island Park. At about 10 p.m., in the middle of their performance of Morning Glory, an assailant suddenly ran from the back of the stage and shoved Mr. Gallagher from behind. The guitar player and singer crashed hard onto his speakers.
The attacker then lunged at his brother, singer Liam Gallagher, before security personnel tackled him in front of 22,000 onlookers. The singer can be seen attempting to fight back before the man was dragged away.
The British rock band retreated off stage but returned 15 minutes later to complete their set.
Noel Gallagher, 41, went to the hospital following the show to be examined for a fractured rib and ligament damage, according to a statement on the band’s Web site.
Nathan Rosenberg, a spokesman for Virgin Mobile, said Noel was joking backstage after the incident about how exciting things happen when Oasis plays.
Mr. Rosenberg said the attacker evaded both Virgin and Oasis security personnel in his dash onstage.
“We’re doing a full review today ... to try to piece together exactly what took place,” he said.
They are still trying to determine how the man, who was accredited to be backstage, got onto the stage, he added.
“We’re a bit unclear at this stage about how the entry point was made. Once we work that out, it’s a good lesson for us to make sure we can close that gap in the future.”
Today, almost 300,000 people had viewed a video posted on youtube.com, which shows the attacker, clad in jeans and a t-shirt, barreling into Noel with two outstretched hands before scrambling toward Liam.
Oasis is scheduled to play in London, Ont. tomorrow. No decision had been made whether the concert would continue.

I posted this in the other thread I believe it is a better response that tryign to stalk and assault the guy. Everyone who was at the show should get together and file a class action lawsuit against this assclown. Say $20 a person times 15000-20000 and this guy get finacially phuked over the way the true fans got cheated out of their Oasis concert experience.

For some of those who watched this and lack the power of putting two and two together- henrod89: How is Liam supposed to punch a guy who is being piled on by 3 bouncers? Liam actually does punch him in the middle of the stage with a left, but you can't see the guy's head in the shot. Oh fuck it, henrod89 you are a pinhead.
