Seriously, this tune must be the most under rated song on the entire DBTT album.
Yeah it could have been produced better, and yeah it's a tad too long.....but the lyrics are incredible, and Liam's voice sounds good on it.
What's more, it's a sing-a-long! Why don't they play it at gigs? It's the stereotypical Oasis sound, and it wasn't even written by a Gallagher!
I equate this song with Stand By Me - it's the SBM of DBTT, and that's a good thing. It's very similar I feel to that BHN classic. Just wish it got more attention.

Just wish it got more attention. Do you, or do you just write this shit so you get more attention?

For me it's a good song but too long and repetitive.

Good song, but doesn't really stand out on that album IMO. There are plenty of songs on there that are better.

Keep the Dream Alive is great, it's got that classic, upbeat Oasis sound to it. It's not the highlight of DBTT for me though
The ironic thing was that Noel said that the song would become a "live classic", but it was never even played live

Just wish it got more attention. Do you, or do you just write this shit so you get more attention? well, you're giving it to him, whether he wants it or not, so...

My thoughts exactly! Along with a shit production, which make this song forgettable.

As messenjah said, the production is quite poor. Really muddy sound for the bulk of it. Also, enough with that fucking drum beat already.
But yeah, there's a great song in there somewhere. Great lyrics and a chorus that really soars (I put the album on sometimes just to hear it!).

I feel it is OVERRATED on this forum. Lots of people go on about how good this song is, but i don't hear it. It's decent, but not great. SBM shits all over KTDA!

Omg! KTDA is appalling, it has to be one of the worst songs ever and it's one of the reasons I'm not a fan of DBTT

Just playing now. It's a good track, the chorus really shines. I would have liked to have heard a Mark Stent produced version of this.

Word. Get Stent on it and make Liam redo the verse vox and you've got yourself a choon.

i think it's great. it's a mystery for me that andy wrote turn up the sun and keep the dream alive in comparison to the rest he has written

i think it's great. it's a mystery for me that andy wrote turn up the sun and keep the dream alive in comparison to the rest he has written But don't you know Ride? Andy had much more inspiration before being in Oasis. IMO he only made one good song in Oasis that is Turn up the sun. It's a killer song, 4LTW in BDI is fine too. The rest is really boring or bad.

Andy Bell has an incredible knack of writing songs that sound good the first time you hear them and then get worse and worse. Millionaire, KTDA, TBGO, KFAD, TUTS. All sounded good to me initially and now are unlistenable. Kind of the inverse effect of Noel songs...

This song sounds like it is from BHN era, too long and too layered.

I wouldn't say it is a forgotten tune, it's just an average rock song. Nothing more, nothing less. I'd rather another Noel song at the end of DBTT than this.
