Here are the points:
1. "Love" is directly mentioned twice in the chorus (Love is a time machine / Up on the silver screen / Its all in my mind / Love is a litany / A magical mystery / And all in good time)
2. The lyrics are full of metaphors about falling or being in love: "I'm all over my hearts desire", "I feel love in the shock of the lightning", "I fall into the binding light", "I can't stop flying", "My head's in the clouds"
So, basically, the "Shock of the Lightning" is when a feeling hits you like a bag o bricks or something? Nice way to sing about love in a 150% rock n roll way!
This all is very surprising, because Oasis don't have a lot of love songs in their catalog (Slide Away, She's Electric, Stand By Me, Who Feels Love, Songbird, She is Love, Love Like A Bomb, Let there Be Love, some others) - which is good, because they sing about 1000000 other important subjects overlooked by the majority of musicians
Do you agree with this interpretation? If you don't, how do you understand TSOTL's lyrics (although I understand that there's no particular strong meaning behind it)?

I had the same interpretation as the threadstarter actually. It sounds like it's about when you first meet a girl that you're really fucking into.

Noel said Lyla is about Sarah, and it wouldn't surprise me if this was as well.
Or even, as he's said before the songs are about his "Psychedelic Trips Of A Younger Man"... if they're about when he met his first love?
Don't know.
Not sure how much I care either, it's a fucking great song though.

This all is very surprising, because Oasis don't have a lot of love songs in their catalog hahaha as compared to, say, the Beatles, or the industry average, they don't (which is good - on grounds described above)
