how polarizing Oasis seems to be in the UK. I would be annoyed as hell if i kept running into people saying "oasis don't make relevant music". what the hell does that mean anyway?? Here, if i start playing Oasis, then people always like it. Prob helps that most of Gallagher quotes don't make it over seas. Anytime i meet an Oasis fan over here, they're a BIG fan. not as many haters i guess. and i don't know what board this would go in.

once relieved of their baggage (i.e. their image), people love oasis.

most americans don't follow them or know too much about them so if you just put on one of their tunes at a party without telling them it's oasis, you'll generally get a very positive reaction.

Not relevant to who? It's fucking relevant to me and the thousands of other Oasis fans.

It does seem popular to slag off Oasis and their music in this country but it's never really bothered me to be honest.
