I want to revise my view on SOTL, it's almost a truly great song (chorus lacking something) and because of this deficiency it becomes a very mediocre song. I would of agreed with your statement at about 9.30 this morning, but I kept listening to it and I can know say I really like the chorus... The reason you think it's "lacking" is because it's very different to the rest of the first singles as they all had huge hooks for chorus'. TSOTL stays on the same par all the way through the song kinda in a "Columbia" way. Thats what Noel meant by "Groove".

If you think they've been shit for the past two or three albums, why are you here? That sounds a bit desperate for attention, going on an Oasis forum to say how much they've sucked recently...

Exactly, only a fool would expect them to produce an album of 1994-95 quality. Those days are gone, get over it! Both FD and SOTL are excellent songs, i can't stop listening to both of them. Name me one fuking band that would produce something like that after 14 years from their first single?!

I was thinking today exactly the same , all this negativity about the greatest band in the world, especially as it comes from supposed fans. If you don't like Oasis why are posting here at all??? I think TSOTL is absolutely brilliant, best lead single since Some Might Say!!!! I love all their albums and b sides too! Noel is a fantastic songwriter, and Liam has THE best Rock'n'roll voice.

why do people claim that if a song doesn't flow with a certain structure its gotta be shit. i for one love the way they have experimented on both falling down and TSOTL and both come off really really well.

Oasis negativity is just disappointment. If you spend 2 minutes writing a chorus then theres a possibility you may disappoint people.
Sorry mate but we've waited 3 years for a half arsed naff chorus. You should be on our side.
P.S Falling down really IS amazing

i can't understand why you people keep saying TSOTL doesn't have a chorus it has a chorus, and a really catchy one
and it really bothers me when some say: "it's good, but not a DM or MG kind of good.." FUCK THAT it's been 13 years since those records were released.. get over it! we all should be pleased that they're still interested in making music, and GOOD music

LOL to the poster who said Oasis should have quit after Standing on the Shoulders of Giants....Does that poster know that since that album, Oasis has given the masses some of the greatest hits of this millenium and some of the BEST Oasis songs that are up there with anything on DM and WTSMG. Stop Crying Your Heart Out, The Hindu Times, Songbird, The Importance of Being Idle, Go Let It Out, Who Feels Love, Gas Panic, Little by Little (it was a #2 hit), Let There Be Love, Lyla etc....Oasis is FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR from being a "washed up" band. TSOTL is a great tune, it WILL make it to #1 in the UK for sure. Falling Down IMO will do very well on American radio. This album has alot of hype around it, People still care about Oasis, the last truely great Rock n Roll band around.
My only critisism on the new song is that the chorus could be better, but who the fuck cares about the chorus being better when the verse is as good as it is. And may I point out, the Chorus is NOT a bad one, its just people expect BIG THINGS from Oasis still to this day, because they are Oasis. But the whole song is still great non the less, 9/10 on my scale, A rocker that will be amazing Live. So to all the haters on Oasis, FUCK OFF

This is like me going on a Mcfly site and slaging them off! they are shite so they are not on my radar why would i bother with the effort? If I was into a band for 2 or 3 albums then didn't like them after that i would enjoy those albums and ignore the rest and move on. Britpop's dead long live Oasis.
