Basically with Moyles' massive audience, the new song willl get a huge amount of exposure and many people will be clamouring to download or buy it. I'm not really sure why we have to wait over a month for the CD though, that seems a bit silly.

Are we suspecting an instant number 1 with this type of Radio 1 hype?

Ha! OK, I'll give you Supersonic but that was the band's very first single.

Since they've become an estanblished household name of a band with a decent fanatical fanbase they've always gone number one with the lead single for an album....

Some Might Say, D'You Know What I Mean, Go Let It Out, The Hindu Times, Lyla... all straight in at number one.

lyla did alright here even (the states)...nearly making the top ten of the modern rock charts. There are some stations (I have one here in Milwaukee) that are actually independent here and will give the song a chance. I will all but guarantee my local "alt" rock station will give it at least a couple of weeks to get to some ears.
