Ive been meaning to do this for a while as i actually go down this road quite alot on the way to a certain guitar shop & there are some quality tailors there too, its berwick street & its in or near soho, this is wierd but i added brian cannon (legend that did all the early single, album covers) to my facebook friends a while back so sent him a message about me doing it & he was very helpful & told me a few funny stories about the day they shot it, it was shot quite early in the morning & they nearly got run over 4 times as they had to shoot it in the centre of the road & funnily enough i did too, i took this photo at around midday on a saturday which was a stupid thing to do as there were alot of people around & the delivery vans were absloutely flying around the corner so i had no time to measure up properly! But anyway here is the photo, nothing special but just thought id like to share this with you!

The reocord shop on the left is still there as of last week but i think thats closing soon & most of the shops have changed, you have to remember that the original was taken in 1995, thats 13 years ago, im feeling old now!

It's almost poetic. The album cover is all bright and exciting, a symbol of the change in Britain at the time towards positivity and britpop and all that. Compare that to your image, bleak and dreary, the country in tatters.
