Can you imagine if they released this instead of what turned out to be WTSMG?? It could've gone down as one of the greatest albums of all time, which it was IMO anyway.
1. Hello 2. Underneath the Sky 3. Wonderwall 4. Some Might Say 5. Don't Look Back In Anger 6. Acquiesce 7. Morning Glory 8. The Masterplan 9. Rockin' Chair 10. Headshrinker 11. Half the World Away 12. (It's Good) To Be Free 13. Cast No Shadow 14. Talk Tonight 15. Champagne Supernova

great man - but instead of it's good to be free i would do roll with it - it's good to be free is a great tune but IMO kinnda too rough for an album. would kill the flow...

I have made alternate versions of everything from Be Here Now to DBTT. I never thought of messing with DM or WTSMG. I did make an alternate playlist recently of WTSMG by adding in Bonehead's Bank Holiday and Step Out. The only reason I did so was because Step Out was supposed to be on the album and I believe BBH was on the vinyl in some places.

I think when changing or 'improving' an album, its important not to make too many changes, thus you keep the original pace, flow and essence of the album. Mine would be: Acquiesce The into itself justifies why tis sould introduce the album! Miles better than Hello and a great rocker that really opens the album wit a bang Roll With It Wonderwall DLBIA Underneath The Sky Hey Now is alright but is too long and becomes plodding. I love this song and its a lot better - SMS Cast No Shadow Shes Electric MG - CS Much better! and very close to the original. I wouldnt put Talk Tonight on (though amazing) its really a fitting B-side.

it is crime to even think of omitting She's Electric for Its Good to Be Free. Shes electric is fun and easily digestable...... It has also proved quite a hit witht eh general public.....well in ireland its more popular than DLBIA with the general public! I love it for this reason, its a song oasis can be recognised by and does begin with "Toooooooday is gonner be the day" .. breath a fresh air.. .... ther that its a pretty good list... wait a minute.....Talk Tonight for Morning Glory!......hah!!... Morning Glory is Oasis, My parents hate if for its unnessecary loudness, but thats the way its supposed to be.....loud and in your face..... shouting, were big, were loud and if you dont like it? - FUCK YOU Talk Tonight is nothing compared to it and would be completely put of place on an album like this.....

Yeah I threw Lets All Make Believe onto Standing On The Shoulders of Giants cause it was on the Japan release of the album anyway's. You could do the same with Sad Song for DM like ya did for BHBH to WTSMG as im sure that was on some vinly versions of DM.

What are you talking about? DM is the "unnecessarily" loud, in your face album. WTSMG is the more acoustic, popppy album. So yes, I do think Talk Tonight fits with songs like Cast No Shadow and Wonderwall

I think when changing or 'improving' an album, its important not to make too many changes, thus you keep the original pace, flow and essence of the album. When you've got THAT many incredible songs, I don't think you leave them off just for the sake of the "flow". 15 great songs = one of the greatest albums of all time. 10 great songs + great b-sides = great album, but you're always wondering 'what if'

I tried to keep the number of tracks the same as the originals
Alternate HC Hindu Times Shout it Out Loud Hung In A Bad Place SCYHO Songbird (Demo) Little By Little (I may still replace this. I think the studio version is pretty boring) Thank You For The Good Times Idler's Dream Born On a Different Cloud Better Man
Alternate DBTT ( I think the original is pretty awesome, so my tracklisting is more of what could have been) Turn Up the Sun Lord Don't Slow Me Down (Liam) Mucky Fingers Love Like A Bomb (Demo) Idle Nothing on Me Abel Part of the Queue Pass Me Down the Wine Keep the Dream Alive A Bell Will Ring (Demo) Stop the Clocks
Alternate SOTSOG Go Let It Out Who Feels Love Full On Let's All Make Believe Little James Gas Panic Getting Older Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is Where Did it all Go Wrong (Demo) Roll It Over

DLBIA is one of the greatest of Noel's songs and She's Electric is just an electric version (and sped up) version of Married with Children

wasn't the masterplan recorded after the morning glory sessions? stick that sucker on Be Here Now! It was recorded in one of the last sessions for WTSMG I recall Noel saying. Plus I know Alan McGee tried to have Noel put it on the album so it def could've been.

Acquiesce Fade Away Wonderwall DLBIA Some Might Say She's Electric Talk Tonight Morning Glory Champagne Supernova
I think a good alternate to this would be to take out Acquiesce, put Morning Glory as the lead track and insert The Masterplan before Champagne Supernova.

The only change I would make is to swap 'Hello' with 'Acquiesce'. I can't believe 'Acquiesce' is a B-Side.

1.Hello 2.Step Out 3.Wonderwall 4.Don't Look Back In Anger 5.Rockin' Chair 6.Swamp Song Pt.1 7.Cast No Shadow 8.Round Are Way 9.The Masterplan 10.Morning Glory 11.Swamp Song Pt.2 12.Champagne Supernova
Only reason I'd take Some Might Say off and wouldn't have Aquiesce on is that they sound really different from the other tracks 'cos they were recorded with Tony McCarroll.
