Wasnt it the times who gave a pretty poor write of DBTT and yet they clearly hadnt even heard it. I dont think it was their proper review, but in another article.

im worried the album might be a bland and dissapointing I can only agree. I have followed all prealbum processes since SOTSOG and this must be the most negative preview I have read. To actually point out a song as bad and only say that the best song is good really makes me worried. Before earlier albums there have basically only been very positive previews. Maybe thats the reason why you have been so dissapointed each time. |

you lot are crazy. Don't let a shit times review (where they just say one word non the less) of 3 songs get you "worried" about the album. Wait for your own review of the album. Jesus I'm tried of these fucking people going around and complaining and worrying about this fucking album. Stop worrying about everyone says and decide on your own. The band has taken a lot of time with this one they know this album will be huge. I haven't heard the album but from this groove description of the album this sounds like something new and refreshing. So please just shut the fuck up about getting worried or some shit like that. Wait till you have the album I personally love all of their albums and I bet you they'll deliver another great album. End of rant.

You have realized that EVERYONE has different opinions, yeah? So ONE guy at the times doesn't particularly care about 2 of Liam's songs. For all you know, if another guy at The Times reviewed it, he may have liked all 3, or may have hated all 3. Who gives a crap what one person thinks? The only person that matters here is you! (and me).
Plus, I like how the OP didn't even back any of this up. Don't tell me you're falling for all of this again!!!!

I just try to lower the expectations I guess. I have been through three albums of ´albumwaiting´ and me and most other fans have become dissapointed each time. I realize that the expactations are maybe to high though.
What I fear with this album is that if I rate the first leaks this album is the best of the latest albums. So the expectations are very high. I am affraid that we will become dissapointed again.
SOTSOG
- First played song was WFL acoustic on radio. Most fans were not very happy to be honest.
- Then GLIO, WFL and PYMWYMI was leaked first and the fans was not satisfied but thought that the great songs were coming (but they never did).
HC
- FON on the tracklisting made the fans furious and it had number 2! even worse!
- Live versions of HIABP and Better Man lowered the expectations pretty much.
DBTT
- Leaked versions of ABWR and MoS made us not believe to much.
- The Let There Be Love demo didnt change that
- After first radioplay of Lyla the fans only were fairly happy.
DOYS
- Fans are impressed with Falling Down remix. Sounds pro!
- Fans are impressed with TSOL (intro)
- The only letdown is that AGN is on the trackslist. But apart from FON it isnt an early keytrack.
So I will have to say that the leaked material from DOYS is by far the most impressive of these. Therefor the expectations is higher this time which I also notice on the atmosphere here. It is very positive. Noone would be more happy than me if it is still very positive 2 months from now.

I think the bad one will be Ain't Got Nothin'. Uhh...yeah. I'd think so too. Cuz if 'Ain't Got Nothing' was either the 'Good One' or 'Indifferent One', the only way you could get worse would be to mic up some guy's ass as he's taking a dump. LOL! |

It makes me laugh that people are panicking over this new album, the fact that 'Aint got nothin' is on the album, that some nobody from an english rich mans newspaper gave his own 20 second opinion on 3 liam tracks.......the simple facts are this......liam is still a songwriter in progression and the fact he is even capable to come up with these tunes in the shadow of his brother amazes me. i guarantee that as soon as we all here this album, aint got nothin will fit in with the rest of the heavy, baseline and rock and roll that we all hear will dominate dig out your soul...the song, im sure will be an improvement from the demo version, but even the demo version turned right up man, there is NOTHING WRONG WITH IT in my opinion.....ok its not ticket to ride but fucking hell give me that rather that some dreary album filler on a coldplay or radiohead album any fucking day of the week...
