I don't really visit the Inet forum a lot, maybe twice a month to take a glance. But I was shocked to see that the visitors stats are steadily lower than L4E's. When the hell did that happen ? No wonder this place has been a little rowdy in the past few weeks .... Glad to have everyone on board.

Ok constructive criticism, please don’t all dive on me at once!!!
Granted, one of the best Oasis boards I’ve been on. What’s letting it down is the constant rubbishing of threads. There’s a lot of trolling going on, obviously a lot of users don’t like newcomers and are quick to wee all over anything they do and unfortunately there’s no consequences and as a result there’s a load of rubbish threads to trawl through before you find any proper content.
Honestly, I think the mods should be much harsher and harsh on all of the users, in my opinion their should be a strict policy – if you’ve got nothing to contribute then don’t contribute and if you break the rule you are put on some kind of probation or given a permanent ban.
If a thread is created along the lines of ‘I have the new album lol!’ – Why not scrap it straight away and punish the poster? And if someone starts a genuine thread that another user sees fit to piss on or contribute nothing at all to then they should be punished.
I’m fairly new here, I’ve lurked for a hell of a long time and recently signed up and started posting and as a ‘newbie’ I fully expect this post to get trashed to bits by other members because it does seem to be the nature of the boards!
Also, I’ve seen that others have the view that registrations should be suspended – what’s all that about?! Anyone should be allowed to be here as long as you are fair and have something to contribute – if not you should be out!
If your still reading then thanks for giving me a chance before just hitting ‘quote’ and posting ‘idiot’!!!!
Sorry to be so serious, like I said at the start it’s still one of the best Oasis fan boards.

Just because someone may make fun of you, or anyone else doesn't mean you should punish them. Go back to the Gulag's if you want that. Most of the time, when someone gets ripped on is when someone makes a completely stupid thread, or someone tries to argue something that isn't true.

Sorry to be so serious, like I said at the start it’s still one of the best Oasis fan boards. If you've ever felt that your posts were trashed because you're a "newbie" I'm so sorry and this doesn't represent the spirit of this place. The fact that Webby doesn't close registrations like some other forums shows that it's open to everybody... it also means that the place also gets spammers and other kinds of not so great members. I understand your annoyance when BS is posted, I think a lot of people feel the same way. The way this place is moderated is however a part of its success since mods in other forums are sometimes seen as too authoritative or abusive mods. Have faith that we do everything to "clean" the boards and that when it comes to it, more radical actions are taken. Thanks for your interest in the forum, I hope we'll see more of your posts in the future

Alex chill out! as lovely as you are, I wasn't posting about you!

I'm actually easy going, it's just a shame to see the forums going to shit so I've spoke up...

I believe there have been vast improvements in the past 48 hours. Most, "not all" BS posts are promptly moved to the play pen where nobody is forced to go unless they are looking for some cheap entertainment ...cheers

I'm actually easy going, it's just a shame to see the forums going to shit so I've spoke up... I wasn't referring to that in my post. I was talking in general. People tend to freak out when they get made fun of, or when people say something "mean" to them. They take it the wrong way. The way I see it, joking around, or bitching is fine, posting complete bullshit, and trying to mislead people, that should be punishable. Not because someone says something bad, or is not contributing.

ha, I had a feeling that post would get mobbed! for the record though no one has upset me! but yeah, if they did I might of deserved it because I can see how how that post comes off a bit whiney...but screw it, I'm just saying what I see.
Anyhow this has only heightened my opinion of a site that I'm starting to spend far to much time on...

Ive been on here for a few years and Ive had a few scrapes with some assholes on here but, nothing to ponder over after Ive left the site...Hundred times better then inet. I can't believe I was an avid user there for a few years...
Instant K, brought up some valid points...Only thing I did wish this board had is somewhat of a VIP zone for members that have "earned admitance"... Its cool that a ton of fans are on here pumping up L4Es numbers but, jeez this is worse than the 405 (L.A. traffic) on rush hour!

i was on inet for a day. i realized how much it blew and somehow found this forum. it's amazing- well moderated, great (regular) members, and welcoming to new members.
when a new album comes out, we sure get a lot of immature punks trying to take the piss out of everyone here. however, the actions that the mods and webby have taken to crack down on this have been well thought out and appropriate.
and webby wonders why this place is soaring in popularity...
