DBTT's problem is that it doesn't have any stand out tracks, its best songs are weaker than the top quality stuff on SOTSOG and HC however as an album it is easily better than those two. The songs fit together well and there's no weak tracks. SOTSOG and HC are good in places but both have far too many average/shit tracks (ICSAL, Little James, PAITM).

Mine goes: 1. Oasis What album I like the most changes constantly, It also depends on my mood to what I listen to, there are periods where I listen to nothing but Oasis, and other times where I take a break from them. You can't seriously say that "Album A is better then album B, album B is stupid" Each Album has its highs and lows, but in the end, they are all great in my opinion. Stop trying to analyze "the best Oasis album" because everyone's would be different. That's the thing about Oasis, they have so many great songs that not everyone will have the same favorites... I totally agree... 1. Oasis on the iPod (hit shuffle and fuck it) this comment resumes this thread i would NOT, definitely NOT, like oasis like today if they haven't all this fucking amazing b-sides and albuns, like shout it out loud, thank you for the good times, etc etc etc only DM and WTSMG DONT satisfy me. i need a mix of all the albuns to like them. definitely

my favorite album to listen to in my house, alone, in the right sequence, is BHN
its perfect from the beggining to the end, and have a lot of masterpieces that aren't commented even by the fans, like Magic Pie and I Hope, I Think I Know

1. DM 2. WTSMG 3. DOYS (yes, I'm THAT confident...and I don't do this every 3 years, either) 4. BHN 5. HC 6. DBTT 7. SOTSOG
HC and DBTT can be swapped on an almost daily basis. Both have 5-6 tunes that are just great...the remainders are take it or leave it.
SOTSOG is the weakest, and I personally think it's foolish to attempt to "romanticize" it and imply otherwise.
It gets real messy with BHN HC and DBTT ...it's difficult to take them JUST for their music and leave out all of the other "shit": the band's popularity, my own life, etc.
As a matter of fact, it's really the case with all of them.
I'd love to somehow take 1000 fans of rock n roll who have NEVER heard a chord of Oasis, give them a couple of months to listen to all six and see what THEY prefer...completely free of any bias.
I think DM and WTSMG would be right there, but I think HC would surprise us.

All these idiots are driving me crazy. Seriously, Webby, you should implement some type of intelligence test as part of registration. Filter out some of these imbeciles who clearly can't think[/quote]

MG DM BHN DBTT SOTSOG HC I've only experienced two Oasis releases (HC, DBTT) so I certainly understand the pre-release buzz, and the "its the best album since MG" shit talk. But this album does feel different. I love how Noel seems unsure about how it'll be received. Wasn't there even a mention in the new NME article about Noel's doubts of the reception? Good. Try something new. It'll always be rock n roll, but when they try to recreate their past albums we end up with albums like HC. Some quality tunes, but its been done before, and much better. We're all wondering what the fuck "groove" means, as some of the song descriptions hardly fit the groove feeling, but what better time to be a fan than now.

Classics/landmarks 1. MG 2. DM
Really interchangable those two though, one day I prefer the other, and vice versa.
Good, but not without fault. 3. DBTT
Middling. 4. SOTSOG 5. BHN
Bad 6. HC

DBTT and HC are easily their worst albums Maybe two songs from these albums would get anywhere near being on the first three albums

Because I KNOW that it would've new music to enjoy. Fuck, I can't wait any more...

I never see anyone on the forum who puts WTSMG above DM. Neither do I, but I half-assumed that one or two might. Fuck it then, I will. I love WTSMG. I love DM too. But I find I listen to the MG era tunes more.

Probably all in the Mind is monotonous shit, easily the most forgettable track Noel has written. If you actually think this is good I suggest you take your head out of Noel's ass. I Can See a Liar isn't the worst song ever written but is bland and has some truly shit lyrics, that repetitive "liar/fire" rhyme grates so quickly.

It's better than PYMWYMI as well.
