Just read NME, interview with Noel, he talks about Manson, and a hilarious story about Maroon 5, however they also talk about the new album. The thing the NME says is they say is it is a great record in fact really great record, a huge step forward from DBTT (which they gave 6/10) heavy with lots of loud often bluesy guitars, They talk about TSOTL saying WAIT till you hear this one, saying its a massively improved version of Its Gettin Better Man? The chorus saying Love is a litany/a magical mystery? ? Describe Outta time as a Beautiful Beautiful Ballad, pipping Songbird as Liams finest effort, they say thankfully the Coral came across Soldier On, Waiting for the rapture-white stripes esque Aint got Nothing is the demo with a new chorus Nature of Reality-Stung out psychedelia Im sure people will upload the interview later. Now the cynical person in me, says typical NME biggin up the record to sell mags, however i truly feel they think its a great record. This is real positive i reckon, cant wait to hear more reviews

Are not all NME:s previews positive?
They can still slag it off in their review.

I LOVE It's Getting Man (cept for the VERY end). If TSOTL is indeed better than that, then holy shit!

I'll say what I've been saying for the last 3 years: this band is finally a BAND. It's impossible to imagine noel gallagher and 3 other tread-waters NOT coming up with 11 great songs in 3+ years time. And, after a fantastic trial run with DBTT, perhaps 4-5 classics.
Is that really unreasonable?

Is that really unreasonable? not at all. 4-5 classics, now let's be honest and real here, we're talking about OASIS-CALIBER CLASSICS (which goes without saying is a tall order to fill) is NOT beyond the realm of possibility imo. i think the goal of 4-5 10/10 songs is VERY reachable on this album. after all, we saw signs of song-writing greatness from the other members on dbtt (tuts, ktda, ggtia) i just hope there is no filler on here, and i don't think that will be the case at all.. man i can feel it, we are on the eve of a 5-star album here

Is that really unreasonable? Yes, definitely. Let's face it. There have hardly been any real Oasis classics since 2000. There was definitely no classic on DBTT so not a chance that we will get 4-5 in this album. If there is one classic I will be very happy.

(Morning Glory) I though have to say that the TSOL clip sounds promising. That definitely sounds far better than the intros of Lyla and TIOBI. (TSOL Intro)

Never mind the classics already listed (and they are indeed classics) but this new album doesn't depend on DBTT......DOYS could have 8 classics, or 2 classics, but the number of classics doesn't depend on how many the previous album had, idiot.

For me a classic is a song that is widely popular among the oasisfans. Therefor songs like MoS, ABWR or HIABP will never be considered as classics. ABWR!!?! Are you kidding? In my opinion the worst Oasissong ever released on an album. Horrible production, bad vocals and very mediocre melody.
