Christ, it's one of my favourite vocal performances by Noel and a great stomping tune, but everyone here seems to think it's garbage. I would certainly say it's one of the songs on Heathen Chemistry that I go back to consistently, unlike She is Love and (Probably) All in the Mind.
Seriously, what's wrong with this song?

Well WTF.... it's fucking great. I don't think that I would want to listen to some crap like She is Love or I Hope I Think I Know over this. In fact I would go so far as to say it's better than Digsy's Dinner.

I used to like it when the album first came out, but I just can't listen to it anymore... dunno why
she is love is.... it's like when you have a dessert that's too sweet... and then you don't want to eat it anymore...

Force of Nature is great in my opinion, but I can't stand Born on A Different Cloud, or Better Man
Heathen Chemistry starts out great, but it ends like a joke with those two last songs. That's just my opinion, Liam is becoming a better songwriter though, his DBTT tunes were a huge improvement

Lyrics and vocals are top!! You're smoking all my stash But burning all my cash  ?? The verses and stuff are pretty decent, but I think those 2 lines are the worst lyrics in Oasis history. Yea... PYMWYMI and Little James don't have any lyrics that sound that forced and cliche imo. |

Yes, you're right! Liam should've done it! He did wonders for Lord Don't Slow Me Down! Not that Noel is a bad singer, but I think Force Of Nature would've benefited of Liam's sneering and raw vocals! Other than that, it's an awesome tune! It was one of the songs I liked the most on Heathen Chemistry when it was released. |
