I wouldn't worry. By the time I have kids, humanity will have wiped out all memory of both Keane AND The Courteeners. Yep and then there will be Tim Rice-Oxley Jr. to entertain your ears!

My son is ten and adores Oasis . It is through Oasis that he discovered the Beatles, the Who etc. He tells all his friends as well as classmates about them all the time, often met with indifference from the lot, and he'll ask me why they don't get it; as it is all about the latest disney or hip hop product, which he wants no part of.

If it's a boy, I'll name him Force Of Nature. Haha good one! If I'll have one...and it's a girl. Either Sally and Lyla definitely. But I'd choose Sally over Lyla, since DLBIA is one of those "special songs" of mine. And if it's a boy...Liam.

I feel the same way now actually...it really blows that this generation has been bombarded with such crap music. It'd be great if DOYS breaks thru in the states. Highly doubt it tho.

Well I don't have a kid but I named my dog Guigsy. Don't know how my wife let me though. ;D
Funny thing is older people need the name repeated 2/3 times in order to get it. All I get is what is his name Quwigsy. While young little kids get the name right away.

I will be naming my first born son Liam. Not for Oasis reasons though.
"Hello Liam, nice to have you as my son, this is Definitely Maybe by Oasis. Listen. Love. Enjoy."

I'm only 24, and don't plan on marrying anytime soon (although I definitely want to get married at some point in the not-too-distant future and have a few candidates earmarked, haha).
That said, if I ever do have a daughter, I plan on naming her "Noel" or "Noelle" after Noel, as it has the double whammy value of being both an Oasis-inspired name and an homage to Christ's birthday (and yes, I'm a practicing Christian).
I've always hated the name 'Liam' (just as far as how it sounds), and I would never even consider naming any child 'Gem' or any son 'Zak', 'Noel' or 'Alan', although I guess there's an outside chance I could consider 'Andrew' (family first name) or 'David' (as in Sardy).
More than you wanted to know, I'm sure, but I've sure as hell got it worked out!
