Honestly chaps, some inspriational stories here, really brings back some great feelings. Oasis are something special, different from other bands, they become a part of you upbringing. I feel sorry for people who dont actually dig Oasis.

I'm a fan since 1997 when I got Be Here Now on cassette tape. After a couple months of listening to it everyday after school i saved up to buy DM, MG and BHN on cd. I've listened to Oasis everyday since then. I love the band. It's like my religion.
I'm delighted to see people get into them recently, especially in the last 6 months, which is unbelievable. I can't imagine what it would be like to actually here all albums for the first time one after another. That most be amazing.
Anyway, roll on "Dig Out Your Soul".....

I got into them last November. I was reading this book about the history of the 20th century, and there was this bit about music in the 90's that I read a lot (at the time I was very heavily into Nirvana) and there was this bit about Britpop. It had an extremely cool picture of Liam next to it, and it included the names of some major bands, including Oasis. Next to the picture it said "Liam Gallagher of Oasis" and so I said to myself hmmm, maybe I should check them out. So I went down to the library and checked out DBTT. At first I thought it was a pile of crap, mainly because of Mucky Fingers, so I gave up for about a week, when I discovered DM at the library and took it out. And I listened to it and said to myself, this is amazing! Then I heard about Wonderwall somewhere, so I went to the iTunes store and bought it, and my reaction was similar to that of DM. Then about a month later I got WTSMG from the library and loved it too (I was putting all of these on my iPod). Then I discovered BHN, and the fact that everybody hates it, and I wondered why. Then I rediscovered DBTT and realized that it's actually amazing, apart from Mucky Fingers. Finally I discovered HC and SOTSOG, which I also loved. Somewhere along there I also found Stop the Clocks, from which I got ahold of five of the seven Masterplan songs I can find. Then I learned how to rip the audio from YouTube videos, and so I was able to put together an ever-expanding album of rare stuff (non-Masterplan b-sides etc.) called Mad Fer It. And now here I am. (Whew!)
