Just had a thought, does anyone think one of these new tracks on DOYS will be an instrumental? I mean, theres been a few oasis instrumentals and personally im not a big fan of them, I mean - Swamp song, F**kin in the bushes, a quick peep . . . Whatta you guys think? anything been said in an interview or anything?

Instrumentals are pointless filler.
Those few segments on WTSMG - what the hell was the point there?
Quick Peep is just meaningless.
If they want an instrumental, it should be a semi-instrumental, ie in the same vein as Columbia (which started off as one, and then they wrote somw words to it).
Instrumentals just tend to break the flow of an album, and there's no need for them to begin with. It's lazy - write some fucking words to the tune!
With that being said, I Can See It Now is ace.

I think Fuckin' in the Bushes was pretty awesome and a great way to kick of SOTSOG.

EDIT: then again mate,, i forget that you are just a 'wee lad', hahah back when wtsmg came out you were probably still listening to yer mum's toad the wet sprocket record.

I'm 99% certain there'll be no instrumentals on there. The only thing we have to go on is the MOJO interview and in that Noel was being pushed for information on one more track after Bag It Up and Soldier On and, for me, the easiest thing in the world would then be to mention an instrumental track because further than the track title theres not much more info they couldve tried to garner than that. But he chose to talk about I'm Outta Time instead. Thats my theory anyway.

Yeah, I thought something hinting may have been said, but then i was worried there might be a surprise intrumental track and thought to myself, how many times do i listen to instrumentals on my ipod - pretty much never. Though i can see how they might be good for the flow of an album as a whole, how often do you listen to an album in its entirity?

All the time, i can't stand to just listen to some songs here and there, i love to hear the whole thing as one thing. That's what i dislike about SotSoG, Fitb ruins the flow quite a bit, cause i can't sit through the whole thing.

I love the Cage, Fuckin in the Bushes and I Can See it Now. The others, I could do without.

FITB starts the SOTSOG off brilliantly then GLIO and the my favourite song on the album WFL? The part i can't stand is "Put Your Money.." I can't stand that song being on that album!! it's prob one of the only song that i skip! Wish it was "Let's All Make Believe" instead. As for instrumentals? I think they should only be the opening track on albums!!

FITB is a great to open the album. That drum loop is just vicious and with the vocal bits its like your in the middle of a riot. Then the sick guitar slides in along with that thick and heavy bassline (which is genius BTW). Its not oasis's best opener but its a hell of an opener.
