With all great bands no one has the same favourite songs, so don't freak out on my choices... just puting it out there. I've been a fan since purchasing the Supersonic single 4 months before Definitely Maybe was released. I did this list and realized how much I really liked SOTSOG and really didn't like HC. Be Here Now is still my favourite, as it was the soundtrack to the best summer of my life. I was so pumped after the first two records... then D'You Know What I Mean came on MTV and blew my mind!
1 - D'You Know What I Mean? 2 - Live Forever 3 - The Masterplan 4 - Sad Song 5 - Whatever 6 - Supersonic 7 - Don't Go Away 8 - Rock 'n' Roll Star 9 - Don't Look Back In Anger 10 - Cast No Shadow 11 - Going Nowhere 12 - Slide Away 13 - Alive 14 - Cast No Shadow 15 - Morning Glory 16 - I Hope, I Think, I Know 17 - Step Out 18 - Stay Young 19 - Fade Away 20 - Acquiesce 21 - Rockin' Chair 22 - Lyla 23 - It's Good To Be Free 24 - Cigarettes & Alcohol 25 - The Importance Of Being Idle 26 - Where Did It All Go Wrong? 27 - Some Might Say 28 - Wonderwall 29 - Talk Tonight 30 - Half The World Away 31 - Columbia 32 - Keep The Dream Alive 33 - Take Me Away 34 - Underneath The Sky 35 - Stand By Me 36 - Flashbax 37 - Listen Up 38 - Stop Crying Your Heart Out 39 - Part Of The Queue 40 - Headshrinker 41 - Up In The Sky 42 - Bonehead's Bank Holiday 43 - Go Let It Out! 44 - Round Are Way 45 - Be Here Now 46 - Who Feels Love? 47 - Shout It Out Loud 48 - Let There Be Love 49 - Hung In A Bad Place 50 - All Around The World 51 - Bring It On Down 52 - It's Better People 53 - Champagne Supernova 54 - Little James 55 - Roll With It 56 - The Fame 57 - The Hindu Times 58 - Carry Us All 59 - Married With Children 60 - A Bell Will Ring 61 - (Probably) All In The Mind 62 - D'Yer Wanna Be A Spaceman? 63 - She's Electric 64 - Gas Panic! 65 - Turn Up The Sun 66 - Songbird 67 - Mucky Fingers 68 - Just Getting Older 69 - My Big Mouth 70 - Hey Now! 71 - It's Getting Better (Man!!) 72 - Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is 73 - My Sister Lover 74 - Hello 75 - Cloudburst 76 - Shakermaker 77 - Digsy's Dinner 78 - (You've Got) The Heart Of A Star 79 - Roll It Over 80 - Guess God Thinks I'm Abel 81 - I Will Believe 82 - Fade In-Out 83 - Angel Child 84 - (As Long As They've Got) Cigarettes In Hell 85 - The Girl In The Dirty Shirt 86 - Little By Little 87 - (I Got) The Fever 88 - Magic Pie 89 - One Way Road 90 - Let's All Make Believe 91 - Fuckin' In The Bushes 92 - Who Put The Weight Of The World On My Shoulders? 93 - I Can See A Liar 94 - Idler's Dream 95 - Sunday Morning Call 96 - The Quiet Ones 97 - Lord Don't Slow Me Down 98 - A Quick Peep 99 - Full On 100 - I Can See It Now

Little James is a really good song. I can't see why it takes so much crap. IMHO, it's one of the better tracks on SotSoG.
I think it's great because Liam really does put himself out there as a writer with that song... it's obviously very personal. (I'm not saying Noel doesn't with his songs, just saying the lyrics are better than what it gets credit for).
Anwyays, nice list... fun to look at. I can't imagine putting my top 100 Oasis songs together... I can never even pick a favorite... it changes every week.

Originally I made this as an iTunes playlist and tried to put it in order... I didn't put this together specifically for a thread, just thought I might as well share it...
I consider Little James to be Liam's best by far... it has heart and the melodies are top notch, as well as the chord progressions and dynamics. And the child-like lyircs were on purpose, mixed with lines like "It won't be long before everyone is gone"... that's some heavy shit to tell a little boy, but amazing. Make the most of the time we have...
...and Noel's solo section is fantastic...

I've been thinking about my top five Oasis songs for a very long time now (I think it has been in progress since I became a fan in '00). As you say, it's very hard to make one, but here's my list of top five Oasis songs: 1: The Masterplan 2: Go Let It Out 3: All Around The World 4: D'you Know What I Mean? 5: Listen Up

You can't rate oasis songs as your list will daily be changing. Nevertheless liveforever, masterplan, slide away should always be in your top 10. Full on at 99 is a disgrace...it's awesome, what does everyone else think?

It's a testament to how awesome oasis are by seeing how many tracks people say are their favorites. Their catalouge is just filled with great songs that have enough variety to attract different people. Personally WPTWOTWOMS is one of my favorites and that was ranked like 90 something in this list. My current top five are: 1. Slide Away 2. Whatever 3. Don't Look Back in Anger 4. Where Did It All Go Wrong? 5. D'Yer Wanna Be a Spaceman?

Anyone that rates LJ as a decent song needs their heads checking.
Awful, awful song.

I remember talking to a Sony PR guy when DBTT came out and we both thought that Guess God Thinks I'm Able was the stand out track when listening to it back then.

Little James is a brilliant song just with shite lyrics. Like Supersonic. Though Supersonic is obviously better.

So, I've seen that Listen Up isn't a song that is included in most of yours favorite Oasis song lists. What's the general feeling towards that song? I got to admit, before, I never listened to Listen Up before. I actually found it to be a boring song. Then I heard Noels recent acoustic version of it, and I was totally blown away! I started listening more to the original studio version, and now, strangely enough (Considering the feeling I had towards it before) it's among my five best Oasis songs

Its a tough choice between TIOBI and GGTIA for the best track off that album with POTQ not far behide. GGTIA is Liam's best song I think just the fact that he connected the Cain and Abel story with Noel and Himself is genius.

I pretty much agree with you... it is a terrific song and one of the best on the last record. I like Little James a bit more though... it's just cool to not like Little James because Noel bagged on it.
