When I saw "Come In Come Out" on the album cover, the first thing that I thought of was of course, the amazing B-side by the La's. So it's pretty safe to assume Noel is throwing out another sly nod to Lee Mavers, eh?

I would assume it's a line of a song, but yeah still a la's reference. Would be really strange to put a la's b-side on the cover of your album if it had no relation to your album

Well, he's lifted lyrics and guitar riffs from 'em (in a good way!) so I don't think he'd be shy about doing such a thing, =P

He lifted "The Importance of Being Idle" from them hahaha WTF are you talking about? "The Importance of Being Idle" came from an Oscar Wilde story called "The Importance of Being Earnest", which is a very funny and witty read.

I think he meant the guitar part and hits of the melody coming from The La's "Clean Prophet" B-side.

WTF are you talking about? "The Importance of Being Idle" came from an Oscar Wilde story called "The Importance of Being Earnest", which is a very funny and witty read. Nah, he got it from the collection of mark twain stories, 'the importance of being idle' I think he was referring to the fact that the La's/Mavers disappeared from the planet, hence their 'Importance of begin idel'... Anyway, The La's album is a complete Classic. Nobody I know, even in the musician/music snob circle have even heard this album. It's crazy that it's so revered out in UK/Ireland but nobody knows of them here. Unbelievably good. Anyone know if Mavers will ever put out a new album...and if so when?!?

I don't know about a second La's album, part of me loves the mystery behind it all, what songs Mavers has suposably got tucked away (But if the Kitchen and Crescent Tapes are anything to go by, he definitely still has it, "Was It Something I Said?" is the greatest song never to be heard)
