Has it ever been confirmed that Liam actually wrote the leaked demo They Got Nothing on Me, They Got Nothing on You? Its seems most are speculating he did given the "simplicity" of the song, but it may have been written by Gem (or someone else). Yeah it was def written by Liam. It was written around the time him and Whitey got beaten up in a club in germany, when liams 2 fromt teeth were knocked out. Thats what the song is about

It was in The Sun, who - as we all know - are the last bastion of honesty and credibility.

Devil's advocate: The most monotonous drone of all - The Quiet Ones - was Gem's work.

I am typically cynical about everything that's hyped up and that includes anything to do with Oasis...but I have to say, I'm really excited about this album. HC AND DBTT were just ok for me and I remember not being particularly excited by either of those prior to the release. To me, Oasis are a band who've always been great at the big, swirling, psychedelic sound and that's what this album appears to be. (Excluding a folk-sounding song which will probably break up the album somewhere in the middle---rightly so.) i'm VERY VERY optimistic about this album. Plus, I think the album cover is magnificent.

Any one think that maybe the "just one of the gems on the album" means that gem has two songs on the album. Cause that would suck, I want to have six noel songs not five, I believe he should write more than half if not the whole album. We know we have three liam tunes, but didn't noel say he has six on the album in the mojo interview? That would mean that get off your high horse is either noel or andy bell. Maybe the Turning is a noel song? Riddler can you please clear this up for us?

He said he had 7 in the mojo interview- and i think this thread helps that case. If goyhh is not gem's, then gem's song might be one we thought was liams, 'aint got nothin', and we could have 7 noel songs!

Hopefully the riddler's just playing word games with us making sure we stay sharp.

Maybe Gem stepped it up a notch this time? I thought Eyeball Tickler and ABWR were much better than Hung In A Bad Place after all, so perhaps he's continued to improve?

Yeah that's true and Gem had 1.5 if you count him helping Liam write LLAB so I guess it isn't really out of the question. Don't get me wrong though Gem can write good songs. I thought ABWR was a highlight of DBTT.

Well 7+3+1+1= 12 so that's not right lol. But I think all we know for sure is that Noel has 7 from the MOJO interview. I'd be willing to bet that Liam is the one with two songs on it though rather than Gem or Andy.

L4E and SCYHO already have said that they got confirmation from a reliable source (same one that gave out the album name) that STC was the final track on the record. If true, this gives Noel 7, Liam 3, and Gem and Andy 1 each

guys stop arguing, Noel has 6 songs, Liam three and Gem and Andy one each..... the interview in Mojo was months ago, maybe they pull out one of Noel songs or maybe there is indeed a hidden track, but from that tracklist clearly, only six are from Noel... we know Liam's songs and now Gem's.... plus a couple from Noel....
By the way, I remember a long time ago Noel mentioning that Gem had a song that reminded 'A Hard Day's Night'... it seems to fit the description.... oh an 'The Quiet Ones' is the worst song ever.

well wikipedia says stop the clocks is a "hidden track". which is probably BS. i'd prefer if it wasn't. but i prefer not to end on a liam track.

A song as mythologized as Stop The Clocks deserves a lot more than to be a "hidden" track at the end. It deserves a spot on the tracklist, spelled out for all to see. It's not really hidden if everyone knows about it months in advance, just make it track 12.

So I'm hoping it's hidden....

UK bonus track? I know bands have done that, such as The Charlatans, Elbow, Dirty Pretty Things...it wouldn't make sense to do that either, but being relegated to essentially an afterthought would be just a foolish thing to do in my opinion. Might be a part of Noel's 5 different versions comment.
