u know what i really do... in the same way that it was a departure for the way the beatles sounded and using more experimental sounds and recording techniques.... I hope this record does this and like peppers provides us with track n track of consistently solid rock n roll tunes within an album whole idea.

Sardy isn't that kind of producer. It's going to "sound" like DBTT... the newness will be in the arrangements and instrumentation used.

I think some people on here are either delusional or never actually listened to enough of the Beatles.
I love Oasis. I love the Beatles.
But, Oasis could never hold the Beatles collective jock strap.
Let's hope this album is just the best one since Morning Glory, or even Be Here Now....I wouldn't wish or hope for more than that or you'll be disappointed..

not sure why my thread “my take on the cover” was locked. I dont another thread talking about the art on the cover in a more analyzational way.
And who is that in your sig caro? Looks like keith richards was reincarnated into the young lead singer of a poser punk band...

i thought the poster was refering to OAsis' own version of sgt. pepper. theres a difference then saying it will be similiar to the creative genius that is the beatles in 1967, but in regards to oasis i hope DOYS will be their "pepper" album

DBTT=Revolver DOYS=Sgt. Peppers
It's all relative, of course.

Yeah DBTT sounded a lot like Revolver so why not? The album sleeve reminds me of Sgt. Pepper's a lot...

Liam & Noel are now older than any member of THE BEATLES at the time they have splitted... and there's no RUBBER SOUL, REVOLVER, SGT PEPPER, WHITE ALBUM or ABBEY ROAD in the Gallagher's discography...
Maybe " MORNING GLORY " is their " HELP "... nothing much..
