I hope in the album track noel keeps the tempo upbeat or at least wonderwallish in tempo. Lately his songs have died from plodding, sluggish tempo.
For instance i thought little by little was too slow.
If he keeps it upbeat not only will it contrast with the darker tone, and post apocalyptic lyrics, but this thing could be a hit.

I agree with you completely on Little By Little. Even in Let There Be Love, Noel seemed like he was singing in slow motion.
Part of the Queue was fast, which helped it a lot.

Right. Agreed. I appreciated the tempo in PotQ
Perfect example is also let there be love...
my first reaction was: its waayy too slow. wtf? I remember reading somewhere that noel said he tended to play too fast and had to slow himself down. Hopefully they let other people listen to this stuff in terms of quality control.

Yeah, Little by Little is way better live when they play it a touch faster

The first version of LTBL (It'a Crime) is quite fast, i really appreciate it, though the lyrics aren't as good as the cd version... And I just love POTQ, best song from DBTT in my opinion... I never liked too much LBL, but I couldn' imagine it being played faster... I know they do it live, but in the original version would be weird, I guess the song is supposed to be quite slow, then burst into the chorus.... I hope Falling Down keeps the tempo from the remix, it's sounds amazing...

I completely agree. That is one song, LTBL, that was really mishandled. It should have been a huge fucking epic song, but Noel consciously avoided making the song big, and as a result the song just doesn't deliver. I'm not sure if playing it faster would have helped, or even the scope of the song. Maybe dialing it down a bit was the right decision. I'm not a producer. I can only be some little asshole fan saying, "Eh, doesn't work" but it honestly could have been much, much better.

I thought Little by Little's tempo was suitable, nice and quiet and slow to start with, then it absolutley kicks off in chorus.
I did sound slightly slowed down on the Chemical Bro's though in my opinion.
