This was posted by some guy in Inet...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A reliable source from another board said the following:
The 'Falling Down' version released is 95% chemical brothers track which has simply sampled Noel's vocals from that track i.e its completely different to the track that will be on the new Oasis album. Not only that but the vocals have been mixed up and cut so all this track does is give us an indication of what Oasis' version will be like. Apparently Falling Down is one of the best tracks on the new album and a likely 2nd single. Why did they release this version now? Simple - MARKETING. Its created such a buzz on the net and has everyone talking about Oasis but the genius part is the real Falling Down track will still be a fresh new song that everyone will be hearing for the first time when its released(or leaked)
On a seperate note no one seems to know if Aint Got Nothing is the same song that was leaked a while ago - educated guess would be that it is. Yes it was the weakest track from the leaked demos but you have to remember Liam badgers Noel into putting his tracks on albums when they should obvioulsly be B-Sides (example Better Man, Little James). Also the live version of 'The Meaning of Soul' that came out prior to DBTT sucked big time but the studo version was much much better. We can take some comfort in the fact that the album version has been worked on big time as its coming in at 4:18 whereas the demo was just over 2 minutes.

I reckon Ain't Got Nothing will be a complete revamp with the leak being a demo. Noel said that none of the leaks were on the album. Could well mean that a different form was.

Perhaps we can get the The Riddler to just give us a Yah or Nay on Aint Got Nothing...(What is Yes and No in Latin?)

I'm still praying that it's a different song

A 'reliable source' means nothing.

It certainly is easy enough to hear that the vocal track has been chopped up, you can hear where it cuts off in places - nothing earthe shattering there. I'd bet real money that Aint Got Nothing is a completely different song

I've said this about a million times . . .
There's a guy in the newsroom who said this same exact thing and I posted it in a few threads regarding the topic.
But the same guy said that 'Ain't Got Nothin' is the same leaked song but different recording. And he also said Lord Don't Slow Me Down is the second to last track.
But he sounds similar to what you echoed. He said Falling Down was his favorite track at the moment and that the Chemical Bros. really changed it and only kept the vocals. But they even cut those up quite a bit. And he talked about the drumming.

Guess God Thinks I'm Abel = best song on Don't Believe The Truth. Songbird = best song on Heathen Chemistry. Songbird, maybe. GGTIA, no way. TIOBI is one of the few recent Oasis tracks that is brilliant. Liam has talent, no doubt. But his songs always seem incomplete. Sure, he can just say, "No, its a short song" but most likely he couldn't figure out what else to do. That being said, I think Songbird is pretty damn great, and its simplicity is a big reason why. If that fucking song from the DBTT sessions doesn't make the album, I'll be disappointed. The one with Gem, i think, on piano, and Liam strumming. That was a quality tune.

They're not incomplete; they sound perfect as they are. Bright, breezy, and enjoyable.
And I'm guessing you're referring to I'm Outta Time - or at least, what we assume to be I'm Outta Time. It sounded promising. You can't fault the bloke's ability to construct a melody.

Liam's song are short and simple, and that's how they work.
For elaborated songs, we got Noel already. Liam's songs so far have been good enough, except maybe Guess god thinks i'm Abel. But the three on Heathen Chemistry were quality, and Pass me down the down the wine is Quality too. Liam songs on DBTT were still better than Andy's or Gem's.
Now, on the next record, Soldier On is said to be epic. We'll see.

Liams had some decent tracks on the last album Meaning of soul in my top three favourites with a bell will ring and Idle being the other two
I don't rate songbird very much - hung in a bad place, hindu times, SCYHO all kick its ass
As for b-sides on the last album they were really poor except for eyebll tickler

The bottom line is that I've enjoyed Liam's contribution to the last two albums more than I have any of the other three's. There's an adage in football - you're only as good as your last game - and for me, Liam's the man on form.

Guess God Thinks I'm Abel = best song on Don't Believe The Truth. Songbird = best song on Heathen Chemistry. don't know if it is BEST on dbtt, but i think ggtia is brilliant... lyrics, arrangements, length, lead vocal, backing vocal, ending, everything. as for hc, songbird is a nice little tune but i think if your talkin the best song then it would have to be scyho

'cause they were fresh and " new breeze "...and the kind of " Part I " and " Part II " of pretty much the same song... but at the end of the day, songs such as Stop Crying Your Heart Out, Little By Little, Let There Be Love, The Importance Of Being Idle... are the mega songs that will " survive " time test...

Guess God Thinks I'm Abel is a highly enjoyable song (especially the acoustic versions), and I like the message of this song as well, but the beginning of the song is a complete rip-off from "I Wanna Be Your Man" by the Beatles.
