Here's a thought. I recall 'the riddler' mentioning in one of his/her riddles..well I guess it was translated that way about 'two brothers' or something. (I'm not sure if I'm remember the translation right.) And then..Noel in the MOJO interview said there would be five versions of the album (a bit of an exaggeration I think)
Anyway...I think that maybe there will be two album versions..the 'two brothers' here are the Chemical Brothers..and the 'five versions' is really just one DOYS Remix. It's, ironically, similar to how Danger Mouse remixed Jay-Z's 'Black Album' with The Beatles (White Album) and did the 'Grey Album' (Which by the way...was f'n really cool..say what you want about hip hop...Jay Z is the man). Except Oasis's will be more of an official release.
This type of move would really put Oasis in a new league I think. It will certainly generate some headlines for 'em in the music press....similar to a Radiohead stunt.

I would buy that in a fucking instant.
It's not going to happen, though. Wishful thinking.

I wouldn't dismiss it straight away, from theriddlers riddle, it seems possible

I keep thinking about what the hell was Noel going on about five versions of the album? And now we get the Chemical Brothers Falling Down Remix? I'm not saying it's a sure bet or anything but...it's possible I guess. If this did happen...it would be pretty cool though.

I think itd be good for expanding Oasis' overall audience. I mean, Obviously, the hardcore fans would probably love both but probably favour the guitar "oasis" sound. But think about american fans, remixed oasis songs with chemical brothers grooves would be a big hit there i think

I agree. I think a remix version of a new album from a band as big as Oasis would be unprecedented and certainly expand their fan base here in the US.

Would be amazing, but I doubt it. Maybe more likely, but just as interesting would be if the remix was an official release so it could chart - and the album version would be the traditional guitar driven music we love.

Can I get a "Fuck no."? This would be a horrible, horrible idea. If it had any chance at all of working, "Setting Sun" would have at least been a brilliant, chart-topping one-off. But it wasn't.
It makes perfect sense to expect two digital versions, a CD, an LP, and a CD/LP combo package. No conspiracy theories needed. You can already get at least four versions of every prior release as it is.

Otherwise he'd have listed numerous versions, including the cassette, UMD, SACD, DualDisc, minidisc, 8-track, and whatever else they're gonna stick this thing on. The hard copies will likely be a standard CD, a CD with extra tracks/extra disc/bonus DVD, and the super deluxe will probably be a box set of some kind, maybe something like the limited LP sized box they had for BHN. On the latter you'd have room for the remix of this song or the whole album, then press maybe a few thousand copies.

Well, if such a thing did happen, it would get the attention of the media. Which of course would generate more album sales, more fans, more everything. Oasis could be HUGE again if they pulled a stunt like Coldplay.

I think I read or heard an interview, and Noel was saying how there are going to be multiple versions of the album. A regular version, a digital, an alternative version, and a deluxe one that has everything on it. Can someone back me up on this, or am I just losing my mind? I think it might have been on Russell Brand.

I think it might have been on Russell Brand. What he cited exactly was that there would be five altogether: - a digitial version (presumably the downloadable/iTunes one) - a "slightly more expensive" digital version then three physical versions: - the standard CD - a "deluxe" version and - a "super deluxe" version

I reckon that like Ian Brown's World is Yours album, there'll be on CD with the full song, and then a second CD with just the orchestration/remixes on. Doubt it though!
I'll be getting the super deluxe though. It'll probably be two disks, a little DVD, some stickers and a booklet or something.

So the deluxe version is probably similar to the Asian Tour Edition of DBTT - a few b-sides and a clip from LDSMD. I don't imagine that that's quite how the super deluxe version would work, though. I really don't see Noel allowing the inclusion of anything non-Oasis into a standard Oasis release. People will definitely pay a "super deluxe price" if it means b-sides, extra demos, or other material that hasn't been released in any other package or form. But if that was going to be the only extra material, I wouldn't personally be interested enough to purchase it (and I think a lot of others would feel the same way). I imagine it would be something like Radiohead's discbox - vinyl, CD, some special artwork, and a bonus disc of some exclusive material of some kind.
