I think it is an absolutely great tune. How good is the melody? Got that world weary apocalyptic vibe. Wild, weird sounds. I'd love it if this were the direction some of the songs took for the album. Know they won't go that way of course. We must be open to change cause they won't do it if we don't let 'em!
Finally, I get a Linkin Park vibe from the tune. Reckon I'll get smashed to pieces for writing that. Anyone with me?? Of course, it is much better than LP. Let the abuse begin!!

But the album version will probably sound quite different. So let's keep that in mind . . .

While I agree with you that it is a stunning track, I find it more similar to Ian Brown and of course Noels other collaborations with The Chemical Brothers.

it's rubbish,,,, and anyone that thinks it'd be a good idea to have that version as an album track should be shot in the face with a potatoe gun.

I think it sounds a little like Paul Weller's 'Echoes Around the Sun'

The only thing I didn't like about the song was that annoying electronic feedback...but I'm confident that won't be there on the album version. I like the groove and most of all, I love that they're trying something new

I love the vocal melody, it doesn't sound like anything they've done b/f, and thats very exciting for me

the sound of the song is great an ive a feeling that this is how its near enough gonna sound, you can tell by the piano sound that its a trance type of song,an that will be the original piano part,an fits gems stating that its a trance feeling album at times.if so this is gonna be fuckin mega, you can see what noel means now by the not songy type tracks, theres no real chorus in there, just like a long verse really, were in for a treat wi this album

Imagine Falling Down EXACTLY the same except the elctonric bits replaced by big guitars...it would be HUGE

Great song...great melody. IMO, better than anything on DBTT. (And I'm not saying that because it's new.)

Spot on. Apparently it's got groovy drumming and whatnot on it. I can't get enough of the "I live a dyin' dream" bit.

I really love the "Ooooooh Oooooh" vocals after "Time to kiss the world goodbye." Reminds me of the ooohs at the end of Champagne Supernova. Got that psychedelic vibe. Very cool. Very excited about this album.

I def see where the trance comes in. It's tough because you really don't know which parts the Chemical Brothers added and which parts are the real song. From what I could tell, it sounded like they were using a Rhodes piano which sounded fuckin awesome playing in that style.
It just leaves you with a weird feeling cause you're almost afraid to like certain parts cause you don't know if they'll still be there on the album version. Like you really never know if they cut up the vocal arrangement. I sure hope they didn't, but that's part of the whole unknown we're dealing with

TrancEY...No one's saying people are gonna take ex and fuckin rave to this shit. But it does have a different style and feel than their typical sound.

It truly is brilliant. According to itunes, I've now listened to it 33 times in the space of 24 hours! It doesn't get old, and that reason alone makes it brilliant.
I'm not a fan of that migrane inducing electonic part near the end, but do like how it explodes after that as the piano comes in. And the piano is immense. I still get a buzz when hearing that piano segment.
The backing vocals are great.
And I love the "We live a dying dreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeam, if you know what I meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeean part"
This tune def has the sound. The lyrics are ok, Noel can do better though. But this is indeed better than anything off of DBTT....And i fucking loved that album.
No doubt that DYOS will show everyone that Oasis are well and truly back.

I've come round to thinking that it's a very good tune, however I think all that is lacking is more repetition of the refrain with possibly an extra few lines
