Now that webby has kindly confirmed for us the album tracklisting when can we expect to know the b-sides for the lead single?
I know Oasis always give us new songs as b-sides (apart from LDSMD, grrrr live songs...) but does anyone else have a bad feeling it's gonna be that remix of falling down? Not that it's not awesome, cos it is but I'm worried that at least one of the b-side slots will be taken up by this or even boring live songs...
P.S. How good would it be if STC and RM were used as b-sides together somehow so they could keep that kinda reprise thing of STC in RM. Would make the single sound like more of an EP in it's own right if you know what I mean.

I would imagine we would have several DBTT leftovers fired off as b-sides, going off Noel's comment. Hopefully we could then have 3 b-sides, for the first time since AATW

They should give us STC, RM but also Boy With The Blyes, The Roller, and all those other tracks they've been talkin about for years/years ago. Just give em away to the fans. I'm sick and tired of hearing stories bout 'we recorded 70 songs bla bla'. Give us all!

Doubt it. My guess would be that you'll get two new songs as b-sides on the first single - maybe leftovers from DBTT.
This remix will be issued as a limited edition twelve inch or something, maybe stand alone as a CHemical Brothers single even.
Or, it'll show up on the "super special edition" of DOYS Noel was talking about.

That would be something to look forward to! I'm hoping for b-sides at least up to the standard of the HC-era considering the number of infamous songs that have been hyped up to legendary status not making the album.

Yes, there's a ton of notable tracks that still didn't appear on the new album, so we could be in for a couple of good b-sides from this era.

In all seriousness what is stopping Noel just putting all the sessions for each album up on the official site for free, he has nothing to do with them anyways. Well, I suppose he could profit from some type of box set so why not do it now? Or does he have plans for some of these do you think (LTBL style..)?

I'm not holding out too much hope for b-sides after DBTT's, but if they are in fact leftovers from that album it could be better. I haven't heard either, but I just think it's weird to imagine Stop The Clocks and/or Record Machine crawling through the doggy door after all this time.

Usually - not always - but usually B-sides are the best indication of where a band is heading. Songs that may be good, but didn't make the album because they didn't fit. I think a perfect example of this is Eyeball Tickler - songs mega, but would seem out of place on DBTT. My guess is that DOYS will have this sort of feel (here's hoping). Having said all this I'm not sure if these B-sides will be filled with left overs from DBTT or not - may be a really nice compliment though - most of the leftovers were described as "song-y" and wouldn't fit well against the style of the album.
How knows...

They need to be used somehow, they are too good to waste. If they're not on any releases for this album there is no chance we will see them properly outside an EP next year if we hope! By next time round the ship will have sailed...

Seriously, there is enough unreleased material - some we have, others legendary that could easily fill an album.
Imagine if another album came out within a year - and I know IT WON'T HAPPEN so spare the flames...

I've always wondered why more bands don't do this, release the proper album, then release the b-sides/outtakes a year or so later, as a stopgap. It would certainly help to satisfy fans who have to wait three years now between releases. I don't know how many times people have asked me if Oasis is still around. Out of sight, out of mind.

I think that would be a really good idea for bands, so they would always have a release in people's minds but could work on a new album whilst always having a release. Hmm, I think you may be a genius! Who has noel's e-mail address?

Look at what the Beatles did - they released an album every year - ten years together and a mountain of material. Lots of bands did that in the 60's and 70's.
Problem now is a matter of economics really. Put out an album, release a few singles, 18 month world tour, take a vacation, write and record, vacation, put out an album... etc.
You make enough money that you only need to put put an album every three years, and most band have to tour because that's the only way they make money.
Beatles stopped touring and just lived in the studio - hate to think Oasis would ever stop touring, but would love more material...

Hmm, I think you may be a genius! Who has noel's e-mail address? Ha, thanks! ;D Seems like common sense to me, it wouldn't have to be something to tour or promote really, no singles necessary, just clean out the vaults, eh? Financially they don't have to put things out for three years, but if it's about the MUSIC, then it makes sense. Keep your core fanbase satisfied, they are what makes you financially able to rest on your laurels for so long. Even if it was a small scale, fanclub mail order/online thing, who here wouldn't buy that?? Something tells me though that Noel already has Antholog/Boxed Set-like tracklists already outlined, which we will be able to enjoy in about 20 years.

Hopefully we could then have 3 b-sides, for the first time since AATW Are you aware that since then the rules concerning singles have been changed? If you got four track cd it is considered EP, hence it is not eligible for singles chart. Wishful thinking mate, never gonna happen.
