If you follow the news posts in my newsroom you might have read the comments people leave. This is the most recent comment left by somebody who claims to have heard both versions... no way I can verify it but this person does not seem to post on the forum...
=====================================
The difference between that Chemical's remix and the album version are quite dramatic. It seems they've only really kept the vocal, and even that they've cut up a lot. It's missing the cool groove that the drums play On the album Falling Down is probably my favorite track at the moment, but that keeps changing.

Well shit, that just confirms it then doesn't it. If someone posted it on the internet, it must be true.
(Sorry, I fully expect the gist of this comment to turn out to be true, but we've got no reason to believe whoever posted it has heard the album)

Well, not saying it's not true, but doesn't take a genius to figure this out. It's what the CHemical Brother do right? Look at the difference between say Setting Sun and Noel's acoustic demo. The melody may be the same, but not much else...

It's an odd place to claim to have heard the album. Plausible scenario says this is a reviewer who just got the remix and looked online for more info/public opinions and posted it there not knowing about this board.

This was a response to my question in the newsroom. Before they said anything about the Chem. Bros., he said it's his favorite at the moment and he said that Noel sang it. He also went on to say that he didn't think Liam had a chance at singing it. Another words, he sounded really confident.
Like I said, that was before the song was released. I know it's a 50/50 shot at Noel or Liam singing. But he was really confident and if you think about it, Liam still sings most of the songs. So it's not quite 50/50 and he knew it.
I hope he's right . . .
