Mixing by the chemical bros and a "remix" by the chemical bros are DEFINITELY two different things though.

Whichever it is I am not a big fan of it, and I have rarely said that when it comes to Oasis. Nor I till the 5th -6th listen. Still a little too "electronic" for me but definitely not as intense as it was upon the first few listens. To be really honest, I have to admit that I'm excited as hell that its just so different. kinda like u2's POP which I still like. |

If I understand Bookie correctly his assumption is that he thinks this track is on the album and is the one he is presenting at 5pm today. He heard the file we listened to today...

This is a fucking remix! It was done to promote the album and get people talking about the band before the album and first single. Yes, Bookie was confused and he thought he was gonna play an actual album version, which is clearly not the case.
Remember the official news on the new album? Remember who produced it? Yes, Dave Sardy, no one said The Chemical Brothers, so this is clearly just a promo release, not to be included in the album. Probably a bonus track, probably when you download it in itunes or buy it in Japan, or probably one of the b-sides, but this is not going in the album.
And I like it a lot, enjoy it, or not, we got a sneak peek, while the thing gets started.

Not a big fan of this. But I think its a ploy - creating confusion before the release. I think theyve been very clever here. The albums been finished ages ago and everything has been quiet. Now they put this out without too much clear info regarding it. We still dont even have any 100% official tracklisting so Falling Down (whatever version) may not even be on there ala Can Y'See It Now  This is a very different marketing approach to the usual fanfare. The confusion is building the expectation. |
