this is not the album track. it is a remix. 1) We know the new promo is a remix from the info we got from Anders earlier in the week. there's only one new promo out there right now, and this is it. Its getting sent out to stations and DJs who have no knowledge of the forthcoming album, they just play shit that gets sent to them. They generally know no more (and often fewer) details than we do. 2) It makes WAY MORE SENSE to release a promo like this as opposed to an actual album track, if that track isn't the first single. 3) Remember the Lynchmob Beats Champagne Supernova remix? It was on 2 promos, one of them promoting an album with the original un-remixed song (STC), and the remix itself was never on an official retail release. 4) Remixed stuff like this gets sent out to clubs and stations all the time. I figured more people here knew DJs. 5) If it was an album cut, there'd be no reason to call it a remix. We have multiple sources confirming this is a remix. The Chem Bros would receive credit in the album liner, or even "(feat. The Chemical Bros)" in the tracklisting, but why call the album/original mix a " remix?" It doesn't make any sense and I can't recall any examples of that happening. This is not the album track. I say that with 100% confidence. I totally agree. Plus, the French review of the album said stuff about psychedelic and even some folk. Not word one has been said about electronic stuff.

i say there is no way this is the album verison...could u imagine them playing it live? it would fit no where into their set...its probably just a promo thing to build hype about the album....i remember someone posting a thread about a new promo in the coming weeks..maybe this is it?

Yeah Noel said the album would sound great live. This would be hard to do live. Come on this is a remix not the album track.

njoasisnyc - good point - but i think what happened was, oasis had the mastered track, handed it off to the chem. brothers to do their thing with it. they likely never saw each other in the studio at all for this.

Again, we can't have any complaints can we?
If this is the album track: Then we have a monumental wall of sound, and I know I'm proper having it, a long with most on here it seems
If this isn't the album track: Then we have 2 versions, both quality (assuming the album version is as good/better)
I'm leaning towards REMIX and NOT on the album. However, you never know - Noel said it was grove based and heavy sounds, and this version def fits that! His vocals are so mellow that I can't imagine a version that isn't this or similar to this one.
Put it this way, I'd rather not have a full 11 songs with electonic sound mixed in, but the odd 1 or 2 is fine if it works, and this does indeed work.
Either way, I do want to hear a more Oasis-like version, just for the sake of comparison if nothing more.
But yeah, I can't see the electronic element mixing in with the rest of the songs well, or them doing it live, so I'm inclined to say this isn't the real version. Still well good though.

Don't get me wrong Let Forever Be is... nice... too but if they start playing this shit at concerts... However I think if this is just a remix then the album version could be very good as i feel only a part of the tune has been lifted. But then if there isn't it would fit with the groove thing noel's talking about. One things for sure...Oasis are taking a chance

This is the HUGE sound we've been waiting for. Since BHN we've all complained the lack of sound, and we finally have it! Unlike BHN, this isn't overproduced. And it's not generic Oasis.....i'll come out and say it, RM - as much as i love it and still wish it was on the album - it was generic Oasis. Noel can crank out those tunes at ease. It's nice to have this big sound but arranged in a new way. Seriously, my hopes have been restored for this album. Oasis - they hardly ever let us down!

But if this is a remix, there's a chance none of the songs will sound like this one, and we've really learned nothing.

this won't be on the album, i'm sure of it. in any case, we can't tell anything from a chemical brothers remix anyway. all we do know is that the french site that had the tracklisting summarized the album as much harder in sound than the last one (good sign) and even folky at times (very good sign) with the psychedelic sound mixed in that noel had talkd about. that's three great signs for a great album right there. i don't know why oasis fans would want a dance track on the album; sure, i want them to return to worldwide recognized greatness too but i still want them to sound like oasis when they do it.

IT'S A REMIX!!! There isn't even an arguement to suggest it is the album version. It has been released as a promo, and Anders at www.mistersifter.com said it was a remix of a song, and he's one of the most reliable people when it comes to these matters.

What a strange thing.. To broadcast a " remix " even before the original song has been heard... That's a bit risky.. If people love that " remix ", then some of them (or some of us) could think and say : " HEY, it's not as good as the Chemical Bros Remix... "
And it's even a bit of " killing the surprise of a new track ". Cause some of the melody will be already known... Every time a single is released two months before an album, you can make sure that when the album is out, the one song I skip is " THE FIRST SINGLE ".. as it's been killed by too many radio broadcast, and I'm probably to blame as well, as I played it like 100 times before the album is out..
Nothing to do with it but, what I read here or there about DOYS since few days, makes me feel really optimistic about this album...

Dont get me wrong -- I don't know why you doubt I like the song. Its okay, not what I was expecting by any stretch but if I heard it in the clubs tonight I'd be having it for sure. To be truthful though, my confidence that it isnt the album track notwithstanding, I would indeed be disappointed if it turned out to be on the album in this form. I still stand by my analysis though. My opinion of the track doesn't really factor into why I'm certain this is a promo club remix along the lines of the rest and not an album track. This would fit in to what Noel suggested a couple weeks ago if this remix were to be included with the deluxe version of the album.
