From their music page: 11-Jul-2008 10:00am A new song from OASIS called 'Falling Down' will premiere at 5:00pm this afternoon with Bookie. It was mixed by the Chemical Bros. The label tells us it's NOT the first single from the new album 'Dig Out Your Soul' (in stores October 7th), that's 'The Shock Of The Lightning' which we'll debut that Friday August 15th. -Don edge.ca/Landing/Music.aspx

They could have guest mixers for some songs.
This could well be the version that is on the album.
Sounds a lot like Wellers and Noels Echoes round the sun so you never know!

I really think this is the album cut and it was just mixed by the chems, maybe noel thought this would be right up their street so asked them in to help.
Really dont think its a remix.
Fits perfectly with having grooves instead of chords!
Get the fuck in!

guys time to wake up.. this your album cut of this song.. no chance. it's obviously done by the Chemical brothers and the album version will be very different. It would be mega if it actually is the album track but it's highly unlikely

There's no way this is the album cut. Too fucking weird for Noel to sign off on this version. It sounds like there's a good song hidden inside of this.

All the time they spent in LA mixing the album and never a word of the chemical brothers would say to me that this is a remix.

It sounds like a remix. I would prefer all the electronic noises to be replaced by some Gem guitar work. But this version is interesting. It's just nice to finally have a taste of something new (and real).

this is not the album track. it is a remix.
1) We know the new promo is a remix from the info we got from Anders earlier in the week. there's only one new promo out there right now, and this is it. Its getting sent out to stations and DJs who have no knowledge of the forthcoming album, they just play shit that gets sent to them. They generally know no more (and often fewer) details than we do. 2) It makes WAY MORE SENSE to release a promo like this as opposed to an actual album track, if that track isn't the first single. 3) Remember the Lynchmob Beats Champagne Supernova remix? It was on 2 promos, one of them promoting an album with the original un-remixed song (STC), and the remix itself was never on an official retail release. 4) Remixed stuff like this gets sent out to clubs and stations all the time. I figured more people here knew DJs. 5) If it was an album cut, there'd be no reason to call it a remix. We have multiple sources confirming this is a remix. The Chem Bros would receive credit in the album liner, or even "(feat. The Chemical Bros)" in the tracklisting, but why call the album/original mix a "remix?" It doesn't make any sense and I can't recall any examples of that happening.
This is not the album track. I say that with 100% confidence.

I would say it's either a remix or a bonus track on the record and not one of the album tracks. They wouldn't just have an electronic song in the middle of the other songs. Sounds like they only used the piano sessions and Noel's vocals, so this was either recorded this way from the ground up as an electronic song or remixed after an original mix was done.

Even if it said "mix" and not "remix", you'd have to think its not the album cut, because then there'd be no reason to be adding a tag to the end of it. It wouldn't have any mention of the Chemical Brothers in the track title/file or whatever. It would maybe be mentioned later that the Chemical Brothers mixed it, but I'd think Oasis would want full credit for an album cut.
