This is the first album I have no anticipation for whatsoever.
The last 3 albums have been soul-crushing disappointments and the more I think about it, the more I come to the conclusion that the band died after Standing On The Shoulder of Giants.
Half the band quit.
Noel lost his inspiration and had used up his entire back-catalogue of inspired songs he had written as a teenager.
Liam got fat and shot his voice to hell with smoking and drinking.
2 tossers joined the band and contributed crappy songs to every album.
Liam torpedoed albums with his terrible, D level songs.
To me, this band is an abortion and should have quit after SOTSOG.
Anyone else agree?

You're not anticipating this album at all yet you created an account on live4ever within the last couple of days?

Yeah, they're pretty much dead. They hardly have any fans anymore and they play to half empty stadiums. Barely hit the top 200 and no one likes to sing at their concerts.
What the fuck do you think man.

Then again it's a matter of perspective DBTT is the only album I don't love so I'm not overly excited about the new album I hope it goes in a different direction from DBTT but I don't consider they're dead at all It's just me being disappointed with DBTT and it's not a widely shared point of view

p.s. I don't get why people call bands 'dead' like in this post, or even worse 'irrelevant' with time. Just because a band is good enough and has a large enough fan base to stick around for longer than a couple years makes them dead or irrelevant??? Shouldn't it be the exact opposite? That never made sense to me.

This is the first album post I have no anticipation hope for whatsoever.
The last 3 300 albums threads have been soul-crushing disappointments and the more I think about it, the more I come to the conclusion that the band forum died after Standing On The Shoulder of Giants DBTT.
Half the band entertaining people on here quit.
NoelLionsden lost his inspiration and had used up his entire back-catalogue of inspired songs he had written as a teenager ebaumsworld images.
2 hundreds of anonymous tossers joined the band forum and contributed crappy songs rumors and opinions to every album thread.
Liam Idiots like you torpedoed albums need to be shot to the tune of Liam's terrible, D level songs.
To me, this thread is an abortion and should have quit after SOTSOG gagging on my enormous cock.
Anyone else agree?

You're not anticipating this album at all yet you created an account on live4ever within the last couple of days? Exactly! But anyway, to the original poster, it's an imperfect opinion that you're perfectly entitled to hold. But is it really how you feel? I mean you're curiousity as johnnylsuave points out kind of contradicts your comment really.

Though clear attempt at rabble rousing the diehards here, and succeeding i might add, theres a lot of truth to what this dude is saying. Noel hasnt written a classic on either of the last three albums, with the exception of maybe imortance of being idle. I dont like Gem or andys songs either...
But i think this is the most, rather than the least anticipated album since its the first one of the new contract and noel could be in a comfortable place now. I think his judgement has gotten more discriminating in the last year of so...

Just had a quick scan through my local paper - quite a few people who've passed away peacefully/suddenly, but couldn't see anything about Oasis, sorry.

Oh No! This could easily be a thread straight off inet! One thing iv learnt in the past couple of days is that this place actually has real oasis fans. People who know what theyr talking about and have decent discussions about the future. Oasis arent dead man. Im 17 and i cant imagine my life without Oasis. Iv even ordered singles in from the US and UK coz we didnt get them here in New Zealand and people here are going crazy over just the titles of songs. I could go on but i think ya get my point.
