Anyone not going to listen to Falling Down tomorrow if it's available? I promised myself I wouldn't until the official release but it'd be rude not too... I reckon it's a ploy to get more listeners to be honest. Don't think it's gonna be played at all. |

Being played on the radio does not mean leak so I'd assume most people will listen because it is being played legitly.

Good question.
I think my rule this time around is if it is played by a legitimate radio station or outlet I will listen, if not then I will do my best to not listen- such as if/when the album leaks.

i will download the radio rip of this song and any other leaks (in case of slightly different mixes, as was the case with the hc leaks) but will not listen to any of them until i have the proper album in my hands
and that is the honest-to-god-truth

But is it conceiveable that next week perhaps another station could play say Soldier On, and the following week then in Bulgaria...and before we know it

I'm not listening... I'll be getting the single as soon as the shop opens and same for the new record. It's going to be fun listening to the album and have it all be new with the artwork and all that... I did it for the first 4 records and those are my favourites... not sure if that's the reason or not, but the leaks don't give you same satisfaction as listening to the CD or vinyl at full quality in the appropriate order with the liner notes, artwork and all that.

Probably not. I didn't listen to Stop the Clocks or RM until last night after the official tracklisting was released and I knew they wouldn't be on DOYS. I just remember back in '99 - '00 when SOTOG leaked and I listed to like seven tracks. It completely ruined the whole album listening experience for me. I'll just check out what you guys thought about FD tomorrow.
Oh...and I thought STC was pretty good...not exceptional by any means...B-Side material. I thought RM was excellent. Sounds Be Here Now-ish...but a little more focused.....not that anyone cares what I think.
Looking forward to the new material...I'm hoping DOYS gets pushed up to Sept or Aug.

No ... I'm just now considering listening to the leaked STC and RM and whatever else that doesn't look to be on the album, since I don't think I can wait three months to see if there's a hidden track.
But I don't want to hear anything off the album until the real, finished, god intended album is in my CD player. Not even the single.

I'll listen to this one song and then the single when it debuts. But I'm not going to listen to it when it leaks. I did that for the first time with DBTT and it somewhat ruined it for me.

I'll listen to it once for sure, probably try to make it just that one listen though. I'll definitely wear out TSOTL though  It's a good point though- if 6 or 7 songs end up getting played on the radio, i can't imagine being able to not listen to them, but i suppose i'll try |

I'm not even going to listen to the album after the official release date. I'm going to phone Noel and double-check that it's okay for me to go and buy it on the day of release. I think it's only fair.
