Come on! It's not THAT bad of a song. You all are making it out to be Little James 2.0
Someone even posted that it'll be considered average filler like Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is.....I don't think that poster has listened to PYMWYMI for ages, because that's not even filler, it's pure crap!
I rate the demo version of Nothing On Me as a 6/10 or thereabouts. Clean it up with better vocal quality (can hardly understand the lyrics on the demo!) and better production, it'll become a 7/10. The instrumental part towards the end makes the song, that part is SO good.
Nothing On Me is a better man's Meaning of Soul, I think. Both tunes have similar style, and I like them about the same, but if I had to choose, I would pick NOM.
And "Ain't Got Nothing" IS the same song as the demo "Nothing On Me"....stop your wishful thinking. "Nothing On Me" was never a name, us fans called it that, not Oasis, and Ain't is the same as Nothing, and he sings it quite clearly in the lyrics. Also, NOM fits the groove style Noel is talking about to perfection. It's so clear it's the same song. If it's not, it'll be the biggest conicidence ever.
My point: stop your bitching. It's an average tune, nothing more, nothing less.
Here's how I see it: If they're the same tune, which is VERY likely, and it's the worst on the album, then no complaints. HOWEVER, if it's the best song on the album, then we'll have to worry - but we all know that's not likely.
Relax.

Little James is good. Nothing on me is horrible. I'm shocked they've put it on the album. But lets see, it might turn out it's a decent transition track.

the meaning of soul really grew on me through the years when it first appeared in 2004 (glastonbury) i was like "oh god, what a horrible song", and now i love it and it's great live! it's short and catchy
the same can happen with 'Ain't Got Nothing', i mean, despite the horrible vocal from Liam, it's a cool song, specially the end

The song's not a step above a D+.

isn`t it wierd that a short song like nothing on me is on the end of the album..? maybe they re-worked it..
but sounds a bit strange..

Meaning of Soul is a brilliant, but I'd call it a ditty more than a song, and I loved it from the off. NOM is half the song that MOS is ie. NOM has a shit chorus/refrain.

I reckon it will be much more heavier and longer if it is. Probably a 4 minute refrain with some badass bass. Or it could be some other completely different song.

I think it's a good tune. With better production and more work on the lyrics it could be very good. I like MOS better though, that one is one of the best on DBTT

That song is not sophisticated, as the french review said the end of the album was. So I don't think we have anything to worry about.

This song is a dud. Lets be real here. My expectations have been lowered ever since SOTSOG first came out. There have been glimmers of hope like she is love and lyla and songbird, and importance of being idle but lets face facts its been slow going in the good tunes department for the lads lately...

Although it is seemingly sloppy and anti-climatic, I really do enjoy the cranked guitars on the "nothing on me" demo. If they somehow rework the chorus and "funk-out" the bass line as Jonny said I think this song has relative potential.

I was listening to the DBTT demos yesterday and it happened that Nothin' On Me follows the MOS... And I liked NOM better But then it's a matter of taste as it always is...
Hell I've read that someone thinks that RM is crap!

NOM is my favorite of the 3 leaked demoes. Call me crazy. One I admit I am Liam biased and two... Well I think I expected more from RM and STC. Like if we got the full perfect versions of those two, I think my opinion would change, but as of now NOM is my fave, not to say that the other two are bad in any way,
