Just hit me that the clip of noel singing the minor chord tune on LDSMD is possibly nature of reality. The lyrics are something to the effect: if theres a God, He will be crashing when you burn, you can still find out how to love certainly sounds like lyrics questioning the nature of reality.

It could very well be, and hell, I was never able to tell what came after "you can still find out" anyway.

And if the album gets deeper as it goes, as is being suggested, then this as a deep soul ballad before the album closer feels right...

I always thought after noel sang 'you can still find out' that he then sang 'and i'd love to help you learn if you don't, singin' out sha la la la la'
so the full lyric would be: "You can still find out, and I'd love to help you learn if you don't"
which is a truly great lyric IMO

Whatever it is, I hope it's on the album. Not sure it would really fit with the "groovy" style of the album though.

I really hope so to be honest, ever since I've heard that little 1:15 clip (which I listen to over and over!) I've wanted to hear a full version.

At this point noel cant afford to throw away good tunes. Id be very surprised and dissapointed if the song “crashing when you burn” or whatever isnt on the new album in some way shape or form

I'd like to hear Liam sing it. It sounds like it could potentially be a really good song.

I think it sounds average to be honest. It's okay, but my opinion is that people just latched onto it b/c it was mysterious, and nothing new was coming out, so it was interesting at the time. I have much higher expectations for the album.

I agree. I hope it's on the album. When I went to the screening of LDSMD and heard it I immediately thought...'Whoa...what is that?I think that 1:15 clip is more immediate and catchy than STC honestly. STC just seemed a little flat to me...a good tune but...not remarkable at all...a passable b-side. 'If there's a God'...that melody just sticks in my head more.

If There's a God or Nature of Reality... whatever really does have Noel's trademark anthemic melody to it whereas stop the clocks, although good musically and lyrically, lacked melody. It seemed about 3 notes all the way through. But worth it for the mental solo at the end.
