is that board still a vivid oasis community? i got banned from there for par taking in the HC leak years ago and they have yet to open registrations again.. just curious whats going on there.

If I remember correctly, they claim it has something to do with their site generating so much traffic.
I'd been there years ago and some of them were pretty funny. But they're mostly co-dependant snobs if you ask me.

I got banned for saying something that a mod didn't liek and got banned forever. And I was right in what I said. Funny place. Always got a laugh from it. I'm liking this board a lot lately, although the downside here is the level of complete nonsense posted by newer members. |

This is a bit impossible. I'm an admin there. The Soapbox opened in 2003 a year after HC was released. You may have been banned from Oasisforum, which was essentially what the Soapbox grew out of the ashes of. None of the Soapbox mods/admins were involved in the running of Oasisforum. If you meant the DBTT leak, that would not have happened, as we were encouraging that leak wholeheartedly. The reason its closed is the owner has been having some problems with our hosting, and the demo leaks a while back (STC etc) caused some problems. Once thats cleared up it will be opened again. Its been closed since just before the leaks happened, but we have had sporadic registration closures over the years for a variety of reasons. I assume that it will stay closed this time until after the release of the album. As for whats going on there, same thing thats going on everywhere, talk about the new album, although we dont have half the amount of shit that this place gets anymore, and our media section has been far surpassed by this place and others. Oasis is not our focus, but the section remains because thats what brought the majority of our users into the community via older/now dead forums. If you're worried about access to leaks and what not, its a safe bet that if anything leaks on there (which we are not even allowing anymore) will get spread to other places as so many people have accts on all the different forums. |
