I've received an email from VOXPOPMAG : Bonjour Loïc. -------------------------------------------------- Translation : Hello Loïc. It will have to wait a bit for the new on this disc now. We do not have. We just had the opportunity to listen vaguely In their french label. We look forward to receiving the copy for promo Chronic before the release. The important point is that this is a disc rather better than what we could be feared. Good morning and happy holidays. Benjamin Durand So what does this mean? Is there a review, and their just going to post it when oasis okays it, or have they never even heard the album?

Here, a quick translation i made
You're gonna have to wait a little more to get more info on this album. Coz we dont. We had the opportunity to hear the record once @ Sony France, and now, we're waiting for the promo to review the album.
What we can tell you right now is that the album is better than what we thought.

Hi Loic, We're gonna have to wait a little while to get any updates on that album. So far we don't have any. We just had the opportunity to bits of it at their French label. We're waiting for the promo to write a review before its release. What you have to know is that the album is rather better than anything we could have expected. Have a good day and a nice vacation.

Are people's expectations really that low for oasis, or is this album just insanely good? We're all fans, but do people who could give two shits about the band expect all that much from them?

It is interesting that comment, because it suggests that whoever this reviewer is, like so many journalists, is of the 'new Oasis record, let's slag it off' mentality, but has been impressed regardless - very encouraging sign.

So we've got
Eddith Bowman review : incredible album NRJ review : the best oasis album VOXPOP review : excellent
And it's all about the same : Rock'n Roll - No STC and RM - Evolution - So Fresh
Nice ! If you compare with the first DBTT Reviews... it was average.

I think it's kind of trendy for reviewers to automatically call them shit just to stir up the huge, huge fanbase.

Well the way I see things is that we're hardcore fans but the most common perception of Oasis among "regular people" (shall we call them that? ;D) is that Oasis did nothing good after MG... Surely you all had that argument with Oasis profanes? ;D So anyway, this is also the French press/radio DJs point of view.... Whenever I hear something about Oasis in the French media it goes along the lines "not as good as they used to", "oh they still make music?"... So since everybody thinks their only good song is Wonderwall, I'm not surprised by that comment... They're considered a classic as far as a few big songs are concerned but as has been generally....

"is mos consurgo super totus alius the riddler " A direct, uninformed translation via the internet reads: this will to stand up over, upon whole other

A certain type of entertainment press that likes to think they're hip and have pseudo intellectual left wing views (les inrocks not to name them or Telerama) have hurt Oasis a lot in France too dissing their music in favor of more "intellectual" music like radiohead or anything that damon albarn could be doing because they were going in "new" directions and Oasis wasn't So those ppl are so posh that they won't give Oasis a chance if they don't do some kind of weird thing... They don't see Oasis as a "cultural" force

Ils n'ont rien fait depuis MG... non ?"

Switching out some alternate definitions, I got:
"The will to stand up over all others"

U know, suddenly after seeing all of the rave reviews from many sources, my expectations for the album have suddenly jumped from 'will be as good as dbtt' to 'probably right up there with morning glory and definitely maybe' i know, i know, i am probably stupid for feeling that way so early though... but it is exciting to think of the prospects of another five star album... and as oasis fans we are long overdue!!! EITHER WAY I CAN't FUCKING WAIT FOR THIS ALBUM!!!!

i think riddler is saying "this will stand up among the others" meaning this record will be better than all their other ones in the past.
....maybe, just my interpretation
