STOP THE CLOCKS AND TURN THE WORLD AROUND INDEED YES YES YES YES YES this is great, cheers for this Mr. Webmaster,, a 10 minute version to close the record, WOWOWOW with that being said... it is hard to imagine record machine NOT being on the album... and with THAT being said, it's hard to imagine rm NOT being the closer, especially with the stc line in the song (well the version we have heard anyway). I think this is probably a last minute addition to the record, after all, wasnt it Noel who just recently said of 'shock of the lightning' "we are using the first demo/take, because the first time you record something is usually the best." Well maybe,, maybe he recently went back and revisited the first proper studio take of stc over and over and decided "that's the one"... and maybe this take just happens to be a 10 minute corker and also it might have more of a trippy groovy sound to it, to fit this album. even though many here wanted a record with 100% new material, c'mon people stc was ment to be on an album!! NOT a B-Side, NOT tucked away to be released in a box set of demos and rarities in 30 years when noel is sitting back in his rockin' chair stroking his grey beard like an old goat. and c'mon, we were never supposed to hear the demo of it anyway. and someone else mentioned theriddler being noel... maybe not noel, but maybe gem, or andy, or someone very close to the band? has to be. what an exciting time to be an oasis fan. makes all the bullshit of waiting years for new material all the worth it! madferit! CHEERS

Now THAT'S a shit title track lol. But as i've said before, as long as the tune itself is good, who the fuck cares. Although I'm begining to wonder if most of the title tracks are shit on purpose, kind of as a piss take..... I told you STC has a real possibility of making it. Now RM better be on there somewhere to. There's a possibility that there are songs on there even better than STC and RM, but if both STC and RM are on this album and polished up nicely, then it's already a successful album in my book, that's how good those 2 demos are. I fucking love this band lol Congrats. I also said many times that STC would more than likely be on the album. I just think it will be a different version. So do I get a cookie too ??

"Stop the clocks" is surely quite a "songy" song as Noel described his previous song writing formula. Unless the song has been changed ALOT... I'm not hearing any "grooves" or being "drawn in, in a different way" etc.
I DO hope to hear both the Noel leaked songs, as the finished article. Just would prefer 11 brand new songs for the album.

This is weird. A seemingly legit review from a reasonable source turns out to be wrong. What are you referring to?

Rob STC is not songy. It has a very dreamy, spaced out feel...which is far from songy. And of course you didn't hear any grooves...it was just Noel and an acoustic guitar most of the time

I fully support the decision to have STC as the closer to this album although Noel may decide to pull the song at the last minute like he did with DBTT, so I'm not celebrating yet.

If STC is really the closer, I can't see it being an acoustic affair like the leaked version.

I think i'm gonna love STC, especially if they give it the CS treatment. You know the part where the electric guitar picks up right b/f the chorus on CS, they could do the same thing right b/f the "if i'm already dead, how would i know part" on STC. Either way though, i know i'm not going to be disappointed!

don't like the horse title, but hopefully the songs is great... I was kindly hoping to not get STC on the album, cause i love the demo as it is and now we only will have 10 new songs plus b-sides.. that's exactly why I held off listening to RM and STC, in the hopes of one or both making it on the track list. now I feel my decision is substantiated.

I haven't heard anything about Record Machine being left off. Webby, if you can tell us ANY ONE THING...let us know if RC is on the album because I fuckin'LOOOOVE that song!! That has to go on the album. Didn't Noel confirm RC as one of the song titles in an interview a couple of months ago?? I think with Jo Wiley?

Has noel cleared up what type of album this will be, he hasn't been clear lately. Did they throw the kitchen sink at it or did they try to and then move on to a different idea (just like DBTT and the DIV sessions)... I really hope they did throw it, I love orchestras mixed with oasis music!

Those looking to get Record Machine and Stop The Clocks on the same album might be let down, as they are very, very similar in terms of rhythm, chords and overall style... that is why you can here Stop The Clocks in the outtro of RM... because it fits so well, not because they are to be next to each other on an album... those demos were done long before any tracklist was thought about. If they appear next to each other on the same record that would be redundant, unless they are wildly different versions. I can say that I heard bits of what I thought was STC at the studio in Santa Monica in February... and it had a lot more going on than the demo we've heard... I recall guitars, and more guitars.

I didn't know any of those rumours about studio people hearing stuff were true?
What kind of guitars, please say electric... heavy guitars?
